Whatcha Eatin?

@Emma JC

I might be confusing it with the new and improved cheddar slices. I'm not sure. I use a vacuum sealer and reseal them right away, so I don't have the wrapper anymore, which is why I'm not 100% sure if they were the new and improved cheddar or if they were the American slices. Nonetheless, they have improved their product. I liked the flavour and they melted nicely.

Don't know about slices, but Daiya block cheddar is my favorite! I do think I saw american slices last time I got Daiya

Early this week, I picked some lamb's-quarters (also known as Wild Spinach), rinsed it, and froze it (without blanching it first like you're supposed to do). But I thawed it and added it to brown rice I was cooking yesterday, and ate this ultra-simple pilaf(?) with a clove of minced fresh garlic and about a tablespoon of canola oil. It tasted fine, and I'm sure it didn't lose much of its nutrients.

I had some the leftovers cold today for lunch. It would probably have been tastier hot... but with this torrid weather, I just had it cold.
