Whatcha Eatin?

Yesterday I cooked some brown rice with dried lentils in my slow-cooker. I found out that rice takes a bit longer to cook than the lentils- so after I pre-heated the water I added the rice first. I think I added the lentils an hour later; when most of the water was absorbed I added some rinsed off, frozen, and thawed-out Wild Spinach. Everything came out well. This morning I had some of the leftovers with a minced fresh garlic clove, drizzled with a bit of canola oil. Not bad (even though I can still slightly taste the garlic!... I'm being careful to stay downwind of people if I talk to them... )

I think there's something about the taste of lentils that goes well with rice.
