it was steel cut oat day, all the usual additions... split red lentils, molasses, cranberries, ground flax, ground chia seeds (that's just in the pot), when served I add turmeric, hemp hearts, mixed berries, banana, cinnamon, maple syrup and have toast with peanut butter on the side
I've eaten nothing but carbs today! First I had a pretzel only because I knew it was my last chance-my son luuuvvvs my pretzels
then I made white/wheat bread in dutch oven, which I had an end piece with Aldi weird non dairy spread.
then I made cookies on my other sons request, so had a bit of one
Also made lentil curry, but that just finished, so tomorrow
I baked two large potatoes since I had to heat the Dutch oven. I really want one,
Had the trifecta of carbs- pretzel with mustard, fresh bread with spread, and finished with baked potato
Yep, gonna love that dutch oven for bread, cause it gives me an excuse to bake a potato! Far superior
We made tofu steak tonight. I had never cooked with oil before and the soy sauce browned a little more than it should have. But not bad for a first attempt. To go with it we had "cheesy bread" (no photo) made of a baguette, vegan cheese, and fresh roma tomatoes all broiled together for 5 minutes.
I have been eating too much junk food the past few days. I am just having an apple and a banana with some water for breakfast today as I feel too full up.
