Whatcha Eatin?

A handful of pistachios.
They make a good bedtime snack for me, but only when I've allowed myself a sufficient calorie deficit so as not to have them mess up my weight loss journey...adventure...or should I say constant battle/nightmare, lol.

Yes, sometimes if I am still hungry at bedtime I will have just a handful of nuts. It takes the edge off for sure.

Avocado sourdough toast with Everything but the Bagel seasoning, and pineapple chunks.
I heard that you can buy that seasoning here now. I always read and hear people from the US saying it is nice.

@Emma JC Same here- it's warm today, but tomorrow is supposed to be in the 90s. I'm glad I scooted to the health food store today and replenished my stash of quick-cooking rolled oats (which I usually eat uncooked). Yum... 27 pounds of them... but they're a major staple of mine and they won't have a chance to go bad. I'll probably still put half of them in a separate bag, keeping those in the fridge.

But anyway, as soon as I got home, I had a bowl of them with red seedless grapes (along with the other half of the Clif bar I partially-munched this morning) and two handfuls of dry-roasted unsalted peanuts. Water to drink, of course. Simple... but nutritious, and very good!

Tomorrow I'll make a sort of slow-cooker pilaf with brown rice, chopped spinach, and probably garbanzo beans. It will be a nice change from this breakfast-food-for-dinner thing I keep slipping into, and just as nutritious and tasty as what I had today! But I do love oats... always have, always will.
