News 2016 U.S. Presidential election - the highs and lows

Feel free to call a psychiatrist and ask them to diagnose you over the phone. Or maybe reach out to them via their Facebook page, or shoot them an email. You might even send them a tweet and see if they can diagnose you in 140 characters or less.

That probably has more to do with financial integrity than it has to do with true ethics. (That applies to quite a number of professional "ethics" rules, BTW.)

The world keeps changing. I think you'd have a hard time arguing, with a straight face, that a psychologist or psychiatrist can more accurately diagnose someone after a 50 minute session than s/he can after watching hundreds of hours (or even ten hours) of videotape of that individual interacting with various people.

Technology is a wonderful thing in some respects. Doctors are even diagnosing and treating patients remotely, using technology, without ever seeing them in person.

ETA: BTW, are you aware that the Goldwater Rule doesn't apply to diagnosing a dead person, based on his/her writings and what has been written about him/her? It's a specialty called psychohistory, and it's hunky dory with the APA.

Furthermore, I don't know why you are assuming that I may not be aware of certain facts as you think that I don't watch the US news on a regular basis !

I was responding to your assertion that the news here isn't giving any attention to Hillary's emails. I've been watching the cable news networks here pretty heavily, and I can assure you that they are indeed bringing it up several time an hour, around the clock, which is why I said what I did.

If you can point me to a U.S. news organization that's ignoring it, as you claim, I'd be interested to know the identity of that organization.

As to your opinion about whether Hillary broke a U.S. law, if there were any way that she could have been charged with a crime, she would have been - the Republicans have been frothing at the mouth to get her for decades, have spent millions upon millions investigating everything they could think of, and all of their efforts have fizzled out.

Since I and my fellow Americans on this board tend to lean left:

Twelve Reasons NOT to Vote for Jill Stein & Ajamu Baraka
Not a fan of Jill Stein, but...

"She calls President Obama a 'tool of the capitalists'."

She's not wrong. President Obama bailed out Wall Street and gave cabinet positions to members of the Wall Street elite, among other things.

"And a war criminal."

Drones.

"Anti-Israel"

Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make you anti-Semitic, unless you inject anti-Semitism into your criticism of Israel's awful treatment of Palestine.

Not being a fan of Obama's policies doesn't make her a qualified candidate for president. If that were the case, everyone who shows up at Trump's rallies or who bashes the president on Fox News would be qualified to run. :p

Opposing President Obama's policies doesn't make someone qualified or unqualified to be president. That list is kind of not good.

I didn't see anything that looked like Parkinson's. You could see that she was telling a story in most of those and in other places the tape was edited, you could see it go forward, backward and forward again a few times. Maybe they should study up on what Parkinson's looks like before making a video, but then again, Trump supporters will believe anything. ;)

And Martin Shkreli...come on. What's next, foreign policy insight by Sarah Palin. :p

Just to be clear, my reply was kind of tongue in cheek... Shkreli is a f*cking monster on his own merits... My question is, why would anyone want to listen to him?

My post wasn't directed at you, just at the silly video.
