News 2016 U.S. Presidential election - the highs and lows

I watched a programme called Question Time last night and one of the panellists was Conrad Black. Conrad Black - Wikipedia

The presenter was asking who would people vote for and he was saying that he vote for Trump, but that he knows them both and they are both very nice people in real life. He said that HC is more coarse in her language than DT is.:D I have read this a few times before on American forums as some (I assume upper class) people say that they have spent time socially with Trump at one of his houses and he is really lovely and the whole brash and obnoxious thing is just an act.

Well.... I guess since acting dopey worked so well for George W Bush, to gain affection from targeted Republican demographics... Why not? :D

This is a MARVELOUS Daily News special editorial!! News to America: Bury Trump in a Landslide

14 very quick chapters... “TRUMP THE DEMAGOGUE,” “TRUMP THE FRAUDSTER,” “TRUMP THE HEAD CASE,” “TRUMP THE FAKE PHILANTHROPIST,” “TRUMP THE LIAR,” “TRUMP THE FLIP-FLOPPER,” “TRUMP THE IGNORAMUS,” “TRUMP THE CONSPIRACY THEORIST,” “TRUMP THE TAX EVADER,” “TRUMP THE DIVIDER,” “TRUMP THE AUTHORITARIAN,” “TRUMP THE SECURITY RISK,” “TRUMP THE MISOGYNIST” and “TRUMP THE ENEMY OF DEMOCRACY.”

.... and hilariously scathing cartoons to enjoy, like:

I thought this was worth posting. These are the kind of people who have whole-heartedly embraced Donald Trump because they see him as a White Supremacist/Nationalist savior, and they likely now see Derek Black, the subject of the article, as a traitor because he's rejected his "birthright".

Southern Poverty Law Center: If David Duke’s godson can leave white nationalism, others can too

If you have the stomach for it, read the comments, too. See how quickly many readers find fault with the article or the young man or with SPLC because they don't want to admit that racism is alive and well in the country and is practically part of the Republican Party platform. Bear in mind also that Yahoo! is notorious for attracting many low-education readers.

Precisely why I only usually only check my email there... I rarely get my news from Yahoo, I just quickly spotted that after signing off. Yeah, they have a serious ignorant troll infestation. LOL

What I hate most about Yahoo, is that they unabashedly disguise advertisements as news stories. So much so, that it's not worth my time to try to weed though each to find the real news.

They say sponsor or advertisement right by the "headline".... At least they do for me, I have Ad Block Plus. LOL

I prefer to get my news from National Public Radio, MSNBC, The New York Times, Alternet, and Raw Story. ;)

Can you imagine life on the Internet without Ad Block Plus? It would be ******* horrible! :D

Hmm, well that's new. Never saw that before, but it's been quite a while since I used Yahoo as a news source.

The jokes were terrible, lol. I did laugh at the joke he made about Melania's speech.
I thought most of the jokes were funny! Some obviously fell flat, cringe worthy, even and you could tell by the reaction of the attendees. The Melania one was really good.

So good seeing clips from the older ones! McCain and Obama were so great!
I recall being surprised by how funny Mitt was too!
Way too much vitriol between the two now.
Melania one was funny, as well as the "pardon me"
The looks on Guilinis face though!

McCain has always been surprisingly good at doing comedy. (Surprising, because he doesn't generally appear as though he has much of a sense of humor, but he's actually a natural at it.)

Obama's gotten better at it over the years. In the beginning, he used to crack himself up too much.

Giuliani has turned into a really awful human being. (Not that he was ever much of a mensch - who tells his second wife that he's leaving her for his third by means of a press conference?!)

Giuliani is a complete piece of ****! Just sayin'.... Knee jerk reaction?
