News 2016 U.S. Presidential election - the highs and lows

Just bought a button that pictures an extremely angry cat and says: "November 8 - pussy grabs back"

It will be my official 2016 election memento.

I don't see any kind of a sneer or either him being a bully.
He's a trophy hunter. That, in and of itself, makes him a bully in my opinion. I find it surprising that anyone on this forum would jump to his defense.

And that is on topic and not at all ad hominem. (For whomever deleted my prior comment.)

Making an observation about someones facial expressions or behavior is not "jumping to his defense".

It is one thing to make remarks about the candidates and another to criticise their children. These two are so unpopular that they both receive their fair share of criticism. However, I would simply agree with saying 'lay off the children'.

Even Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka trumps remain good friends despite the candidates' hatred for each other.

Trump has five children and five grandchildren and it is simply not being fair to them.

BTW, I do not approve of any kind of hunting and please don't put words into my mouth.

When the kids and the spouse are just along for the ride, then yes, people should lay off. However, the three elder Trump children are NOT children - they are full grown adults who actively seek the spotlight (even before this campaign) and are Trump's most active surrogates. In that capacity, they are no less "fair game" than the candidate himself, or, for that matter, any other attention seeking celebrity.

As for the trophy hunting - I just find it interesting, what you choose to overlook just because the father's anti-immigrant and/or anti-Muslim views resonate with you.

Lay off the children? Donald Jr. and Eric are both in their 30s. They're grown-*** men.

Ugh, Facebook commenters.

About Hillary Clinton: "What does SHE know?"

Considering her long career in public service, including as First Lady of Arkansas, FLOTUS, Senator from New York, and Secretary of State, WAY more than failed businessman Donald Trump.

About President Obama:

"I don't consider him to be successful or inspiring."

So America's first black president who made sure millions of Americans have health coverage, took out Osama bin Laden (something his predecessor failed at), reversed the Great Recession and added thousands of jobs, restored diplomacy with Cuba, and currently has an approval rating of 55%, considerably more than the 22% approval rating Bush had upon leaving the White House, is neither successful or inspiring to you? What planet do you live on?
