TV & Film Movie Lounge

I'm watching Woman of the Hour on Netflix. It is about a woman who is trying to be an actor and she gets put on a dating show and one of the contestants is a serial killer. I think that is right and it is a true story! I'm just 20 minutes in.
Not quite a true story. They took a few liberties. Spoiler-The contestant DID NOT go on the date with the killer like they did in the movie is a big one.

I watched Wild Robot.
Pretty good.
IMDB = 8.4
98% on rotten tomatoes.
it's based on a children's picture book with the same name.
Reminiscent of the Iron Giant, Wall-e, And other robot movies.

I'm about to watch Time Cut too.
I was going to watch it last night but I fell asleep.
Not that excited about it. the basic plot/concept has been done so often. and sometimes done really well. But my expectations are reined in. so I shouldn't be disappointed.

I started it, but it was very derivative. I switched to YT as a few new videos are out. I will carry on with the movie as it was watchable.

That's a shame. I love Liam. 😍 I might see if I have it available to stream. My curiosity is peaked, now, despite your comment lol. It is raining so I do have two hours I can afford to waste. 😁

I like him too but somehow, he just couldn't make the film likeable. His son in the film is his one in RL.

We watched A History of Violence (2005) last night on Netflix. We both liked it. 7.5/10.

A small-town diner owner stops a robbery and grapples with the aftermath. When his family comes under threat, he must confront his past.

We watched another film last night. Oddity. Oddity is a 2024 Irish horror film written and directed by Damian McCarthy. It follows a blind medium and curio shopkeeper who is still grieving the death of her twin sister a year prior when a wooden mannequin from her collection becomes crucial to her quest to uncover the truth about her sister's murder.
