TV & Film Movie Lounge

I'm delighted to have watched 2 excellent films in a row:

The Housesitter-a very good comedy with brilliant acting and quite a sweet storyline.

Shadow of a Doubt-a Hitchcock thriller filmed in Santa Rosa, CA, where the population joined in when filmed. A very good storyline and once agains some excellent acting.

We watched the new Salem's Lot (7/10) the other night and then Smile 2 last night. Smile 2 surprised me as it was actually well done and quite scary at times. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the original film.

I watched the following film last night. It's based on a true story which I usually like.

It's worth the watch but I think that the book may be better.

Books are almost always better than the movie! I would like to see that one. I would like to see Alan Ritchson in something other than a tough guy/superhero role.

as my honey is away I watched two Christmas movies - typical Hallmark king falls in love with maid/governess and one set in Rome

Is that the one with Danica McKellar? I love that movie!! I usually hate the "Royal" movies but there are three that I love. Oddly enough they were the first three made, A Princess for Christmas(Roger Moore is in it), A Royal Christmas with Lacey Chabert, and A Crown for Christmas with Danica..."you had me at sewing kit"!! 😍😍😍

I started to watch this but wasn't sure about it so I quit. Maybe I'll put it on again and give it another try. Sometimes it takes me longer to get into "different".

I just watched two cute Christmas movies on Amazon. Since work is really stressful and sooooo busy, I felt like these cheesy little movies would cheer me up. The first one was "Enchanting Christmas", a cute fantasy about an ice sculpture come to life. Cute kid, handsome widower, bad guy and Christmas magic. The next one was "Holly and the Hot Chocolate" which was another predictable little Christmas romance. Nice and cheerful and fun!

Oh, I love A Crown for Christmas and A Royal Christmas as well! I tend to enjoy the royal Christmas ones. :D I love One Royal Holiday and Christmas at Castle Hart (with Lacey Chabert...love her). I also like The Royal Nanny. :)

yes, a Crown for Christmas was one of them and the other was Christmas in Rome and Lacey was in that one as well as the one I watched last night which was silly but it was filmed in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, in the Byward Market, where my honey is from and where I lived on and off for a few years - Hot Frosty - it is pretty dumb and it entertained so all good

Yes, I watched Hot Frosty. I think the only reason it worked for me was because Lacey was in it. I feel like it got better as it went along.
