TV & Film Movie Lounge

Watched a few indies (not all on the same day):
The Frozen - Pretty good, but twist was obvious near the end.
Amber Lake - Nice twist at the end, but not really worth watching the rest of the movie to get to it.
Starlet - I liked this one. Much better than the first two.
Antiviral - I liked it for the most part. Science fiction with a storyline I haven't seen before.

After Fall, Winter. It's a French movie, partly in French with subtitles, partly in English. It's a very dark movie, I don't recommend watching it if you're depressed.

Watching Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.

**** film, but I am desperate to know what they made the skull out of for the film. I cant find it on google and have no idea why I am so desperate to know if it is plastic or not but I am. oh deary.

You know, back in the olden days (1950's) when movies got ever longer and longer, there used to be an intermission during these epics so congregants, ah, that is moviegoers could take a wee, get something from the concession counter and stretch their legs without having to miss anything. Why the F can't we have that now for all the superlong films that are being released these days? Should I start a petition? I really think it's time we had something like that.

Plus the theatres made more coin by selling concessions during the intermission.

We used to go to the Drive-In as kids, and they had intermissions between movies.

They just need to make movies shorter. Two hours max. I find that most movies that are 2 1/2 -3 hours long are filled with unnecessary scenes and storylines.

Now they just charge you insane prices . It's ridiculous.

I watched The Family with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfiffer. It was pretty sucktastic. I highly recommend avoiding it.

There is a freaking massively long and needless intermission in my copy of 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'd have to say they stopped it for the sake of DVD versions. :P

I will be an old man when you return.

Are they the extended editions? Because I hope to actually be able to speak with you again in the future, but I fear I may have passed should this be true.

Of cause the extended version! And I'm hoping you don't have plans to pass away today, since I'm soon finnsied with the first DVD in the "Return of the King". :P

Just finished Game of Thrones 3 last night. But I wasn't outraged or anything.Actually,I couldn't have cared less.

Storyline description.Don't click if you haven't watched season 3 Game of Thrones.
But if they kill John Snow I will not be watching it anymore. They are coming really close and I don't like it.

You must have been pretty deep into it when you posted this, cause there was only a few hours between this post and the one stating it was done. Was this two thirds of the way through it?

I was. Posted it after I started on the last one. :P

I remember when they did that so it can't have been the 50's. :DI used to like it when they came round selling ice cream.

OMG, I agree. I saw The Wolverine which should have been a bit shorter although it was watchable. I also saw Gravity which was worth the hype, I can't believe I went to see that dreary HG **** on the big screen instead of that.
