TV & Film Movie Lounge

Dead End - Low budget B movie. Not bad, except I recently watched a movie with the same exact twist. So, it was obvious from the beginning which kind of ruined the movie. It would have been pretty good (for a B movie) if it had been a surprise.

Lovelace - It was sad, but very good. It made me want to beat her sleazy husbands face into a pile of mush.

I saw The Dark Knight Rises finally. I thought it was very good indeed.:woo: I especially liked Catwoman.:flirt:

But I'm a Cheerleader. Funny and fun movie.

No ****?! I literally just watched that. Finished about 10 minutes ago. :) I liked it. Has Clea DuVall ever played a role where she wasn't the weirdo loner type? I love her, and she does it so, so well, but I hate that whatever she has about her makes her always so friendless in the movies. But she's also the hero, more often than not. Our culture is so weird, that we idolize these underdog characters on film but still ostracize them in real life.

Woah. I just finished watching it a few minutes before I posted. Did you watch it on Netflix too?

The majority I watch on there are indies too. I can't decide on what to watch next.

I was going to ask you what you planned to watch next. :D I went to the indie section just a moment ago and changed the sorting to 'highest rated' and realized I had watched the first like... 30 of them. :D I really liked The Brass Teapot, and God Bless America, Butter, Robot and Frank...

Hell I liked a lot of them.

I haven't seen God Bless America or Butter yet. The trailers look good, so I'll probably watch those next. I've seen a lot of the top highest rated ones already too. I liked The Brass Teapot and Robot and Frank.

A Lonely Place to Die and Citadel look interesting, although Citadel doesn't have a high rating.

Flight - Drama-

''An airline pilot saves almost all his passengers on his malfunctioning airliner which eventually crashed, but an investigation into the accident reveals something troubling.''

I particulary enjoyed Denzel Washington's performance.

I've got a Finnish film to watch called Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, it's a comical horror.

I might watch that, thanks.

So true!

I loved that film.:)

I'm having Hallmark-Holiday-Movies withdrawal. :(

I watched Francis Ha. I sure like Greta Gerwig. It was really good. I liked that it was in back and white and it brought me down but didn't leave me down.

Hidden Places

''A drama about a young widow who finds a guardian angel in the form of a hobo who comes to her rural community looking for work.''

Sydney Penny (Thorn Birds) is as stunning as ever. The story is about a young widowed farmer and her young children trying to survive the great depression on a Californian farm.
