As assumed, Jer bought the Blu-Ray of Rogue One Rogue One (2016) - IMDb... I'm guessing he snagged it on Tuesday when it was released. A couple nights ago he was about to watch it downstairs, and as I headed upstairs, he handed me the case... it also has the DVD copy! I was tempted, but I knew I'd be staying over this weekend, so... TONIGHT I WATCH ROGUE ONE!!

I was thinking about watching this the other night, but both my wife and I are not exactly fans of horror movies ... so hmmmm.

Last week I was on a rental roll.... Tuesday, Bourne Identity. Wednesday, Bourne Supremacy. Thursday, Bourne Ultimatum... until the disc crapped out halfway through, skipping, freezing, the finally jumping to the end credits. That was the only copy that my rental place had, but the store that's a couple miles out of my way has it, so instead of using my $2 credit at my branch, I'll take a detour to another... they've put it aside for me. :D

Watched Hidden Figures - good and strong movie, well worth watching!

Rented Split (2016) - IMDb last night.... I quite liked it! There were a few quite predictable & "heavy-handed" moments, but I guess that's hard to avoid nowadays... unfortunately. Nice to see McAvoy do something VERY different! :)

Tuesdays through Thursdays I can get a free $1 movie when I rent a new release, so I got 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) - IMDb.... saw it last year, thought it would be a fitting companion. ;)

Well, as of last night, I have watched every one of the Bourne movies.... Now what? LOL :p

Actually, when I return my DVDs shortly, I think I'll rent Dr. Strange.... and I get a $1 movie free with a new release... plus I still get half-off! :)

I recently saw a very good anime movie (Japanese with English subtitles) with a rather weird title:

Your Name

Good synopsis that is rather spoiler-free, but hopefully manages to pique your interest:
IMDB said:
Mitsuha is the daughter of the mayor of a small mountain town.
She's a straightforward high school girl who lives with her sister and her grandmother and has no qualms about letting it be known that she's uninterested in Shinto rituals or helping her father's electoral campaign.
Instead she dreams of leaving the boring town and trying her luck in Tokyo.
Taki is a high school boy in Tokyo who works part-time in an Italian restaurant and aspires to become an architect or an artist. Every night he has a strange dream where he becomes...a high school girl in a small mountain town.

The movie is definitely worth watching, also reflected by its IMDB score of 8.6 (#104 of alltime best movies list)

Just saw Guardians of the Galaxy, vol 2. Once again, Marvel Studios is kicking ***. Very funny.

If you do go see it, be sure to stick around for the credits. ALL of them. They decided to go for some sort of record on this one for most "after the credits" scenes in one movie.
