Natural Medicine

My gut feeling is the paw paw is helping a preexisting, noncancerous condition of yours. For example,

"PawpawPawpaw also known as Carica papaya is a well known fruit containing the enzyme papain. But not many know it for its qualities as a food for constipation. The high mineral content of the pawpaw reduces cell waste, gets rid of stomach mucus and colon mucus. To use them effectively, you can eat in between meals or add to smoothies." http://www.prlog.org/10193736-what-kinds-of-food-for-constipation-are-best.html

Personal feeling is there is a lot of exaggeration/miraculous claims with natural medicine without any peer reviewed scientific studies to back up said claims, it's all anecdotal. I do think we need to rethink the healthcare in our country, more preventive and a more holistic approach.

As veg*ns I think we can all agree that in an ideal world, diet, fruit, herbs and 100% natural medications would be an amazing way to treat terminal illness, but as a realist for now if I were to fall ill with something like cancer, im pretty sure Id take the chemo and super strength pills. I value animals lives and want to reduce suffering but how can I do that if Im dead?

If I ever get cancer (and I hope I won't), I'm going to eat one hell of a healthy diet.

But that will be in addition to chemo or radiation or surgery or whatever the good doctors recommend.

I think we should abolish health insurance people should pay in payments how much they can afford with a special program, health insurance is only for the money and not for the health of a person.

Not sure how this would work. What happens when doctors refuse to provide services to those who can't afford their services?

So, everyone should pay into a system that allows the treatment of anyone with any illness so that even the poor can get treatment?

Yeah thats the UK health service you've described there...

Or any system with a progressive tax structure and nationalized healthcare that's free or sliding-fee to its citizens.

You know, there are many doctors that support natural medicine. Surgery has a good reputation even among many who support natural medicine, but everything(I mean everything) that I have read about chemo says you should stay away from it.

Is that hyperbole, or haven't you read the studies supporting chemo as a cancer treatment?
