I decided to try my hand at candy making and found a recipe for See's butterscotch squares. They were my favorites before I stopped eating dairy. The recipe called for heavy cream and I used canned coconut milk in it's place. The candy came out okay, but the taste was off due to the coconut. I want to try another recipe for See's bordeaux chocolates, another favorite, but I don't want it to have that odd coconut taste.
What else can I use in place of the heavy cream?
Also, some call for whipping cream, what can I use for that?
