Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

I'm not sure what I will have for dinner. Probably something out of the freezer again. I haven't felt like cooking a whole lot, as I'm still recovering from COVID. I'm feeling a lot better, but I still have the cough and not a whole lot of energy. I will test tomorrow to see if it's out of my system. That will be day 10 since the first test.

I was invited out last night to a restaurant in Claremont that has live music; 3 musicians who play the guitar and flute.
The songs and music were lovely but the food was appalling; at least my dish of veggie chilli was. I couldn`t have the corn bread so
had some insipid white bread with tasteless olive oil. Moreover the chardonnay and water tasted horrible.

The plant based food in restaurants is so very disappointing over here.

So I had to go to Plan B for my Christmas dinner (see Whatcha Eating? thread, lol). No worries, as it came out really well. I had chik'n-flavored soy curls with a homemade golden gravy, roasted potatoes (did them in the air fryer), roasted carrots and Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, a roll that was just a hunk from a sub roll I had in the fridge and some green olives. I had lemonade to drink. All in all, it was a delicious holiday meal. And I have leftovers. :)

Nibbled at my foccacia with garlic butter, then some crackers with cheese dip, beets with balsamic and the beet greens, and potatoes, carrots and onions my son roasted--in soooo much oil! They were so carmelized and delicious, but that much oil kinda turned my tummy
Have steak medallions marinating for tomorrow
