Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

Gnocchi in fresh sauteed tomatoes, spinach, garlic, onion and spices. I added nooch. TBH, I am not liking it that much. I don't know, under flavored or something. I doubt that my hub will eat much of it.

I do. However, I always add stock; Marmite and vegetable.
Yes but I added to thick cooked lentils and not nearly enough liquid. I add tomatoes to soup just fine, but even my thick chili I add a can at the end.

I've only tried packaged gnocchi once and thought it was like drywall spackle! Certainly sounds like something I should love! I guess I need to make it myself.
DId you make your gnocchi?

last night we put the leftover scoobi doo pasta/ground from the night before in a big pan and then separately steamed frozen green beans, frozen kale and a fresh bell pepper and then dumped it all in together with a few more olives - it was the perfect amount and very tasty - one piece of cake for dessert

rice and beans last night, a huge pot so there are lots of leftovers... onion, garlic, celery, jalapeno, can of black beans, can of diced tomatoes, lots of spices, rice

Seems like years since I've made rice & beans!

I made a pot of macaroni (TJ's big macaroni-my fave!) cooked with fresh broccoli for about the last half. Made my usual nooch sauce and added a glob of mayo.

I'm harvesting a fresh flush of lion's mane mushrooms this morning. I'm guessing it weighs about 2 KG. It looks like a massive cauliflower. Anyways, this is going to be dinner tonight....well, not the whole thing.

I'm just going to press them out between two cast iron pans with some simple seasoning, as seen on many Youtube recipes. They are so tasty, they really don't require much help, seasoning wise. Tonight, I'll just use a little salt, pepper, Old Bay, and some onion & garlic powder. I bought some fiddleheads, locally, which I haven't had in a long time. Mmm, I am hungry now!

Finally, I even found a local market that sells both fresh lion's mane and the kits. They're not cheap to buy fresh, but the kits are fun and bountiful. They're worth every cent.

It made the difference between a like and a love!

then you will love last night's dinner too - leftover rice and beans, reheated, with a side of sauted carrots - and an even smaller piece of chocolate cake and a few potato chips
