My ballot took about 4 weeks to arrive after mailing the request. Ohios sec of state was asked to provide more drop boxes--he said he'd love to, but it was not in his authority. When the courts called him on it--that it was strictly his decision- he refused!
One location for all of Cuyahoga county--Cleveland.

Mixed feelings about this.
Prosecuting former leaders for crimes seems so... Banana Republic-e.
But letting them get away with stuff maybe even worse

But then we may not even need a special commission. there are so many lawsuits and NY State investigators waiting in the wings.

I haven't really been following what has been happening but I read today that they think Joe Biden is in the lead slightly.

According to polls. But Hillary was way ahead in the polls in 2016 and we know how that turned out. Personally, I’m preparing for four more years of DT. Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised (and wrong) when the election is over. 🤞🏻

The political pundits over here were saying they think DT was going to win because of the economy. Of course that was before the Covid situation.

I don't think Biden seems very charismatic whenever I have heard him speak. Doesn't he keep making mistakes and getting names wrong?

I can't even tolerate hearing people say Biden (or anyone ...) lies, gaffes, or misspeaks as long as I continue to hear rump do so much worse every time he opens his pie-hole. Every. Single. Time.

Yes, down with free speech, good point.:gl:

Joe Biden has overcome a very prominent stutter. He often uses certain techniques that make it seem like he’s losing his train of thought. Of course, he has made a few mistakes but who hasn’t, especially those of us aging. But not as bad as it’s made out to sound, IMO, of course. He will never come close to the idiocies that come out of Trump’s mouth. Again, IMO.

Of course, anyone can find articles claiming that the stutter didn’t hold him back in his younger years as a politician. I’m sure his age plays a part. But I still feel that even if Biden had full blown dementia, he would make a better leader for our country than DT. At least Biden has a soul. I have my doubts about DT.

Oh, that is interesting. I just watched a trailer with the actress Emily Blunt in it today and I said to my husband that she used to have a stutter too.

I don't think B
I think he can definitely get in again. There are also quite a few who will vote for him simply because he is not pro choice. It’s their number one concern. They don’t care about anything else.

...or we'll have a civil war because he's convinced his supporters--the Q-anon cult, the boogaloo boys, the proud boys, all the crazy militias, that the election is only fair if he wins, and rigged if he doesn't. I'm actually pretty anxious about this election.
It's never really been rump that's so bad for our country, it's the people he's brought together. It is a cult
I never thought I'd hear a completely privileged white suburban person say they needed someone to "bring them out of the shadows", or, "care about people like me", and call themselves disenfranchised :fp: 🙄

rump and his supporters are by and large the least pro-life people I've come across!

I don't understand as obviously I don't live there. Is that really what is driving people to support DT or the Republican party? Where did all these voters come from? It's very strange to me as all (I think?) the political parties over here are pro-choice on abortion.

I would think that being pro-life is a very fringe viewpoint in most civilised countries.
