Please - If you find a bird, NEVER put water in it's mouth.

Please - If you find a bird, NEVER put water in it's mouth. The little hole you can see at the back of this birds tongue is their airway. One wrong drop in there, and the bird aspirates, meaning it drowns. They can't cough the water back up, and it's a horrible death.
Baby birds get all their moisture from the food the parents feed them.

If you find an adult bird that is dehydrated, offer it some water to drink by itself, or you can dip a cotton bud in water, and wipe the tiniest bit down the side of their beak, making sure you avoid the nostrils.

People are messaging me saying they've syringed water in to a birds mouth. This is usually a death sentence, and the bird goes downhill over the next few hours.
If you find a baby bird, keep it warm. If they don't have full feathers, they need a gentle heat source. They can't make their own body heat. NEVER feed a cold bird. Their digestive system stops when cold, and this also results more often than not, in the bird dying slowly.
Warmth is key.

First stop JRS Rettenmaier, supplier of 'sawdust bedding' to MBR. It's a small house in a very busy road in Reigate so ideal to raise awareness of MBR's filthy business.
We asked to speak to the CEO - not there. The manager? Not there. Anyone? Just junior staff who don't want to talk to us and could we go away or the police will be called.
Windows and blinds were closed and the demo began. We made sure people knew what JRS does, their complicity in the suffering of the beagles at MBR and the laboratories they are shipped to.
We gave out lots of leaflets, cars stopped and asked for info, locals were appalled at JRS supporting animal cruelty.

Next we drove to Crawley Down to tackle Flo Gas. They are on an industrial estate and easy to access. We spoke to the manager (wouldn't give his name). As is often the case, head office doesn't filter down our emails, so we explained why we were there. He said he'd email the CEO and say we had turned up and what we wanted.
There followed a loud demo that brought out workers from many other units. Most were very supportive and a lot of photos taken of our banner for social media. We'll be back here too, until Flo Gas drop MBR. We know the workers have no idea what the company is involved in but they know now in Crawley.
Please join us targeting suppliers face to face. We've got more Southern demos planned and HSBC Brighton next on Thursday 27th 11am. Contact Brighton Animal Rights fb page for details if you are local.

Just completed NARM today in London. We think that 5000 vegans turned up. We marched from Marble Arch to Parliament square.

Lots of police and loads of people taking videos and pix.

We certainly made a lot of noise for the animals.

In my city, live hens are stored in cramped cages outside chicken shops. When a customer arrives, the shopkeeper opens the cage, grabs a hen by her neck, beheads her, and butchers her in front of the other hens. What can I do about this? Going vegan doesn't seem to be enough.
