A lawyer for President Trump reportedly arranged a six-figure payment to a former adult-film star to keep her from discussing a sexual encounter with Trump, according to a new report Friday.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Michael Cohen, an attorney for the Trump Organization at the time and now Trump’s personal lawyer, arranged for Stephanie Clifford, known in the industry as Stormy Daniels, to receive $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement one month before the 2016 presidential election.

Clifford has privately told sources interviewed by the Journal that she and Trump had a consensual sexual encounter in 2006, the year after he and Melania Trump were married.

The U.S. ambassador to Panama has resigned from his post, saying he can no longer serve under President Trump, according to multiple reports.

"As a junior foreign service officer, I signed an oath to serve faithfully the president and his administration in an apolitical fashion, even when I might not agree with certain policies. My instructors made clear that if I believed I could not do that, I would be honor bound to resign. That time has come," Feeley said in his resignation letter, according to Reuters.

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but I have always had a slight doubt about whether it's appropriate to call Trump racist since a lot of what he said was only implicitly/slightly/possibly racist. I mean, you don't want to permanently throw that adjective onto someone carelessly since it's one of the most offensive things you can say about a person. It's about 2 notches above paedophile. So, I don't like to call someone racist who is only slightly racist. Many people are at least slightly racist.

But I think this story was kind of a breaking point where the benefit of the doubt is gone.

You can't say for sure that he was racist based on this particular story alone, since he may have been rejecting poor countries from the point of view of a rich one. And you make similar excuses for his comments on Mexico, China etc but you can't make such excuses for all his comments, at least some of which are collated below.

Opinion | Just Say It: Trump Is a Racist

Jamie, another way to look at that, is that Dump himself would likely not consider it offensive if you called him a racist, but rather shrug and say something like « Sure, I care about [some] Americans first! », using the term « Americans » as people being able to vote, defined at the time of the writing of the constitution, which was, of course « white, male, rich ».

Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump's former top strategist, alleged in journalist Michael Wolff's tell-all book about the Trump White House that the president's longtime attorney, Marc Kasowitz, "took care" of 100 women during the presidential campaign.

"Look, Kasowitz has known [Trump] for twenty-five years. Kasowitz has gotten him out of all kinds of jams," Bannon reportedly said. "Kasowitz on the campaign — what did we have, a hundred women? Kasowitz took care of all of them."

This apparently off-hand remark may take on new significance after The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that another lawyer for the president, Michael Cohen, sent $130,000 to a porn star just weeks before the 2016 presidential election to keep her silent about an alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump.

The Journal reported that Cohen, who was the Trump Organization's top attorney for about a decade, arranged for the payment to Stephanie Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, in October 2016 after a negotiation between her lawyer and Cohen on a nondisclosure agreement.

Clifford has said privately that the encounter happened at a July 2006 celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, the newspaper reported.

Trump married his third wife, Melania Trump, in 2005.

At this point, I'm for anything that irritates dt and the trumpkins, no matter how juvenile.

The federal judge who earlier this week ordered the reversal of President Donald Trump's decision to end the program protecting so-called Dreamers said in a new ruling Friday that it is "plausible" that Trump shut down the program for racial reasons.

"These allegations raise a plausible inference that racial animus towards Mexicans and Latinos was a motivating factor in the decision to end DACA," U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup wrote, referring to the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program bestowing quasi-legal status and work permits on undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. as children....

The judge acknowledged that use of Trump's campaign trail statements to infer his intent as president has been controversial in legal circles.

Some judges used Trump's campaign promises of a "Muslim ban" to conclude that his so-called "travel ban" policy was driven by anti-Muslim bias. However, other judges have warned that it is a mistake to use often-exaggerated statements from candidates to draw conclusions about official acts taken by a president once in office.

"Such admissibility can readily lead to mischief in challenging the policies of a new administration. We should proceed with caution and give wide berth to the democratic process," Alsup wrote. "Yet are clear cut indications of racial prejudice on the campaign trail to be forgotten altogether?"

Judge: Trump racism may have been key to ending DACA

There’s some speculation that Donald Trump really isn’t religious. I disagree. I believe he prays every night before bedtime. This is his prayer:

Having grown up with one narcissist and having been married to another one for a couple of decades, I have to say that this is spot on.
