Does anyone else have a TV show where:
  • Although there are some great moments, most of it is problematic BS
  • On the other hand, you love all the characters to death and want to see them interact and see them portrayed and watch them do things
This applies, for me, to The Big Bang Theory, Glee, and, to a lesser extent, Doctor Who (although I think it is sort of the opposite problem with Doctor Who, where the characters do nothing but nonsense and the environments, situations, and history of the show make me keep watching it).

That's the BBT for me. That show has really started to go down hill, and it wasn't exactly "up there" to begin with. They've really let their *** show lately irg penny's character. But I still kinda identify with the nerdiness of it all, so I keep watching. I think the breaking point for me was when I realized that other people were laughing *at* the nerds instead of *with them*, and that made me sad.

Homeland for me and, to a lesser extent, Sons of Anarchy. Sons veered off into crazy train country a few seasons ago and, yet, I keep watching it because I have a soft spot for some of the characters despite the fact that they're all amoral murderers. Homeland started off terrifically and degenerated as soon as the focus became more about personal relationships and less about terrorism. Dr. Who, for me, at least, went downhill after Davies left. I will always love the premise but the writing and the plot lines have gotten so convoluted that I DVR it and often forget to watch anymore. I'm hoping Capaldi will make me interested in watching it again.

I think I'm going to watch Peep Show, as people have said that it has characters that I should be able to identify with.

I just watched Homeland, I'm so glad it was renewed for another series. It took me a while to get into it at first but now it is one of my favourites.

Grimm
I was amused at the Krampus part of tonight's episode. I totally called it.

I hadn't heard of that before. :) I liked the episode and Monroe is so adorable.<3

I have realized that I really don't like the show Bones. I find David Boreanaz's character funny at times, but I cannot stand Emily Deschanel's character. I tend to watch it fairly often since it's always on one of the ten channels I get, but I don't find it enjoyable or entertaining at all.

Fox re-aired the pilot for Almost Human on Monday so I decided to watch it. I didn't like it. I thought it was boring as hell and the characters were completely uninteresting.

For those of you who have cable or satellite TV and want to be reminded of what's airing when, I have a suggestion.

Go to tvguide.com and create an account. Then you can create a personalized watchlist using your zip code and add stuff to your watchlist that interests you: TV series, movies, etc. It will show you what is airing in the next 14 days on TV and what's available on streaming and on DVD. They will also send you daily emails pertaining to items in your watchlist; reminders of airings, videos, news, etc.

An alternative site is thefutoncritic.com Create an account and then go to your personal myfuton area. There are lists for myshows, myfilms, etc. Anything that interests you, add to these lists, and check the box on the left for each item. You'll get emails reminding you of airings, news, etc. If you add items to myshows, you'll get emails with links to pages within the site telling you about upcoming episodes: Date, time, plot synopsis, crew and cast lists, etc.

These sites are couch potato heaven. :p

Creating an account on these sites is free.

I'm catching up on past episodes of Chicago Fire.

So, it's like I'm laughing, but I'm cringing at the same time.
I think that's it's charm. I love peep show.

Sherlock. I love Sherlock and it's been wayyyy to long between series.

Am I the only one who has no life and watches loads of TV?;)

I just watched the old episode of Charmed with Castiel from Supernatural.
