Amazing episode!
The Maggie scene was incredibly unnerving, even more than Merle beating the crap out of Glenn. I think they just put that in there to try and freak out the people who had read the comic, as
and there are already plenty of parallels, if not duplications, from the comic. Like when the Governor said that
that was a HUGE comic reference.
As for people wanting to know more about Michonne, here's some comic spoilers on her background:
Rick not trusting Michonne seemed uncharacteristic, but only really for Season 1 Rick. As the show has gone on, he's gotten much less trusting and much more generally angry at life. I feel like having Shane try to kill him put a huge dent in his ability to trust others. Losing Lori probably didn't help either.
Did anyone else find the whole thing with Mr. Coleman to be kind-of pointless and crazy? All it did IMO was show that the Governor still is trying to save the Walking Daughter ( ) which was already evident from the fact that he's psychotically still holding on to her in the first place. And I suppose they're trying to develop the character of the scientist whose name I still haven't caught, and who I'm thinking has some very strong parallels to another comic character.

in the comic Michonne gets repeatedly sexually assaulted by the Governor
he was going to bring in Glenn's hand if Maggie didn't obey him
As for people wanting to know more about Michonne, here's some comic spoilers on her background:
She was a lawyer. When the apocalypse began she raided her neighbor's house, who had always collected tons of swords but never really cared to learn how to use them. Her "pets" were her boyfriend and his friend, who hadn't managed to escape the zombies. She learned that having zombies around her made other ones ignore her, so she chained the two of them up and chopped off their arms and jaws so they couldn't attack her.
