TV & Film The Walking Dead

Going to watch it now...sounds like a good one except for the MacGuyver reference, lol.

I've been waiting for Tyreese to show up. I thought that maybe T-Dog was a "replacement" character but I'm glad to see he wasn't.

Carl did the right thing locking them up, the group doesn't know if they can trust them, so it's best to be safe. And Tyreese did the right thing being okay with it, because they were safe there and he understood that they would need to earn the other group's trust.

Andrea, just stop doing things. You almost shot your friends and you don't care at all that the Governor had friggin' walker heads in fish tanks?

Michonne's fight with the Governor was awesome, though I would have kept Penny "alive" and prisoner to have leverage over that *******. Her stabbing him in the eye was a great parallel to the comic.

FEBRUARY GODAMMIT

I'm anxious for the next episode, but almost glad for the break. I hate being addicted to a show. It makes me feel like a tool. Aside from Walking Dead, I haven't followed a single show since getting out of high school and leaving home 15 years ago. I kind of like Dexter but I'm not following it, I just go online and watch an episode every once in a while. I haven't even got to season 4 yet.

Looking like they're not gonna follow the comic book and have the governor cut off Rick's hand and feed it to his daughter. You know, since she's toast :p That's a relief.

I know how you feel, bro. Still following Dexter though, even though I think the first two seasons were his best.

I am glad the new screaming lady was bitten and died. Her equally annoying husband and son are going to be probs.

I loved the look in Michonne's eyes, she got the same instinct I did when seeing how attached the governor was to the walking daughter. The ***** had to go and it was all the more sweet being able to twist that knife in his side.

Sorry to see Oscar go. Andrea "seeing" him and describing him ****** me off. Like uh uh, don't talk about our Oscar that way!

I wonder what Merle's plan of action is now that old evil eye put him on blast and he for sure is alienated. That mob scene was intense. Poor Daryl.

Look at our little Carl. I had respect for Tyrese referring to him as a man and respecting the rules and a place to rest his head. Carl sure stepped up and acted the part.

Handlebar stache is a creep. Hitting on a child and then calling Carol a lesbian because of her hair cut. Way to go Carol for the way you handled that fool. Why couldn't he have died instead of Oscar? Oh, that's right, he's a useless terd he'll be sitting nice and cozy while the others go out and get things handled.

Andrea has to be the dumbest *****, Ever.

Digger is so right about Dexter. I can't stand this story lines this season.

(I think the Dexter with Lumen was the best one. I don't think I have ever shouted "Kill them!" so much at the TV screen.)

I'm going to miss TWD.:sob:

I wish these episodes were a lot longer. :(

I ******* hate bullies. I hate hate hate that righteous indignation they get when they attack someone and the person fights back. That's how I feel about the governor and Merle, they're big mean bullies and I hate them.

:sigh:

Oh well.

Andrea is so blind. So, so blind. What's it gonna take? Does she realize she's on the wrong side now that she sees Daryl? Or does she think he's the one that turned evil or something? COME ON ANDREA!

The mob scene, gah! Nobody saying, "Hey what were those people after? Did they take anything? Were they trying to stage a coup? Why were they trying so hard to get out?" They were all just, "Yeah kill them, woo!"

It was great when Maggie shanked that guy in the throat with zombie bone, and when Glenn started ripping the zombie apart, I was like, 'What?' and then I was like, 'oooohhh,' and then I was like, 'Ewww.' Glenn and Maggie are so dreamy.

I guess Merle and Daryl are now united as enemies of the whole town, but they aren't in a good position to get out. Will Merle somehow sell Daryl out? Will Daryl realize Meryl is a damn bad guy (I'm still convinced Merle has always been a bad guy, like in his treatment of Daryl when they were young)? Or will they fight their way out together and then be faced with the same problem they had at the beginning of the show because Merle cannot be a part of a good group of people because is is not good people? Probably not that. Merle and Daryl have to fight. And Meryl has to die!

New people seem very interesting...

Well to respond with a bit of a spoiler, if you want to call it that (it was included in the preview for the next season, after all):
In the previews for the second half of Season 3, Glenn is heard screaming, gun up and pointed, "What the hell is he doing here?!"
It doesn't take a lot of creativity to guess what that means :) The question is will Andrea be helping them escape? Given the situation, I have trouble seeing Daryl and Merle escaping unless they:
A - Get help from Andrea, who finally sees the light
or
B - Kill Andrea on the way out, as she is one of several armed people in a position to block their path standing next to a "You're either with me or against me" Governor, taking into consideration that she no longer has the option to remain effectively neutral once she realizes who it was that was attacking the town.

But hey, they could always surprise me with some other creative possibility.

I think I need to see season 1...

You haven't yet?? Yes watch it now!!!!!!!! The whole thing will make so much more sense to you. If you don't want to watch it anytime soon then you can always wait for the marathon on New Years Eve.

I think that the mob scene just proves that the Governor is a very good politician, and very good at getting to people and bringing them to his side, which, combined with his psychotic mentality, makes him even more dangerous.

Yeah I was totally like, "Hitler anyone?"

But really it's not surprising that they would follow him like that, they have been living that way for ages and I'm sure the ones who questioned his leadership methods long ago disappeared. And they don't know what's going on, as far as they know some people came into their town and killed some of their people.

Still, angry mobs are very creepy.

So if Andrea sleeps with a regular dude, do you think he'll become a psycho?

VERY Hitler.

Also, in the comic, they explained that people kind-of went along with whatever he said because he kept them safe. Basically, he did a good job doing what he did, so they pretended not to notice any insanity or cruelty.

If Andrea sleeps with a regular dude he will be a dude that does not have very good judgment.
