TV & Film The Walking Dead

Also, if we're going into characters where we've had our opinions change completely, another would be Carl. I used to loathe him but now that he's shaping up to be the most disturbed and world-adapted adult later on, I've changed my opinion on him entirely, because the concept of a new generation growing up in entirely new conditions and forming completely different cultural concepts and attitudes is incredibly interesting.

I'm getting to see some of the episodes from Season 1...Oh...My...God!!!! :)

That's an action figure? Are you sure? lol

Yes - especially if you watched the season finale right before. (That was a heck of an episode.) I have no doubt things will pick up. Jaysis - can't Meryle shut up for a second? Doesn't he remember how he lost his hand? I almost think that it would have made more sense for the writers of the show to have him try to feign being a little more affable and stick with the group. Oh the tensions that would have arisen out of that...

We know Daryl and Merle aren't out of the picture, there is now tension between Glenn and Maggie, we still didn't get a solid answer as to whether or not Tyrese and his group is joining (though I assume Tyrese will), we know some of his group has the potential to be bad news but they didn't actually try anything, and yeah the Governor and Rick are both going insane. So yes, plenty of up and coming situations have been set up.

But... The only story progressions that actually happened were:

Rick and the rescue group (minus Daryl) came home and started a conversation with Tyrese's group (they haven't even really finished the conversation), and while that was happening Andrea talked the town into not fracturing.
.

Maybe I'm just not in the right frame of mind or maybe I'm just not a fan of the drama portions of the zombie killin' :p

This episode seemed somewhat anticlimactic, though I'm looking forward to what it's leading up to nonetheless.

Yes to this and everything else you mentioned in your other post. It was a good episode but just not screaming at the tv, jumping off the couch and standing in the middle of the room saying, "HOLY **** what just happened?" type of episode like from the previous seasons. I have faith that those episodes will return soon though .

I knew Rick would start going crazier, but I didn't think he'd display his loss of sanity so soon to the group. I figured the writers might've dragged it out a bit. Guess not.

I believe Daryl went off with Merle only to protect the group from his brother's violent ******* ways. He knows he can't trust Merle around the group. They'll definitely be back though. Daryl is everyone's favorite character. The writers won't allow him to MIA for the season.

I am getting annoyed with the way Rick has been treating Michonne. She would be such a great asset to the group and he keeps treating her like ****.

I'm really liking Ty . I hope he eventually takes over when Rick completely loses it.

I'm not disappointed by any means. With all the situations they just set up, I think it's safe to say they're building up to something awesome.

And even though nothing really happened in regards to Tyrese and Michonne getting into the group, and even though they've only been loosely following the comic (which is fine), Tyrese and Michonne were both major characters who ended up having a good relationship with Rick. I assume Rick will eventually get his sense back, and I assume Michonne still has plenty more zombie decapitating to do.

Waiting to see where they go with Daryl and Merle. I'm even somewhat anxious to see how they handle the baby, as they're clearly going in a completely different direction with it than they did in the comics.

Another thing I'm curious about is that little exchange between Axel, Beth, and Carol. I doubt they would have thrown in something like that without a reason, so I keep expecting to see Axel try something dirty.

Rick is a good guy at heart. He's just so incredibly stressed out from the insanity that's gone down and from having everyone rely on him to do the right thing that he's totally losing it.

I hope they do it like they did in the comic, where he gives up his leadership and heals mentally quite a bit.

I hope it goes down like that also. I want Tyrese to take over! Although I haven't read the comics so I have no idea who actually does take over as leader.

I think for a while it was Dale. He actually doesn't die for a while in the comic. Tough luck with that.

Yeah, Tyreese would make a good leader. Hopefully they get to flesh out his character a bit more. In the comics he had a sort of rivalry with Rick while Rick was going through his mental breakdown (though it wasn't because of Lori's death, she lives through the pregnancy in the comic).
