TV & Film The Walking Dead

Anyone else play through the game (the Telltale Game Series)? Just finished with it on the 360. It actually has a fairly interesting storyline, arguably as good as the comic or show. And freaking everybody dies lol. They're even less PC about it than the show. At one point you have an option to either shoot a 5 year old kid before he zombifies or let his dad (whose wife just committed suicide) do it. Crazy stuff, well worth a play through if you're into Walking Dead.

Boring episode.

I didn't remember that group of people leaving the prison. I must have missed that bit.

Yeah I assumed they just left the room for a minute when Rick went apeshit, but then when they weren't there in the next episode I figured they'd randomly show up later.

Same as the episode before last, though, I like where they're going re: the upcoming confrontation, but this was clearly more of a story building episode than an action episode. I guess I'll have to go elsewhere to get my zombie violence fix for the week.

They usually have a bit of zombie action even in the slower episodes. I'm not an expert on killing people but Andrea is such an idiot in the way she was acting, standing over him for ages blocking the light.:fp:

I knew she was going to chicken out.

I did appreciate the bluntness and honesty in this episode. Carol telling Andrea to **** the Governor's brains out and then kill the *******. Carl telling Rick to step down. Hershel telling Rick to get his **** together. Merle telling Hershel point blank how **** will go down once the Governor attacks.

Yeah that might have been believable with the doctor but not someone as paranoid as the governor. I figure in the next episode either he'll wake up and catch her with the knife, wake up before she works up the courage, or she'll just change her mind and go back to bed. Maybe even sleep with him a few more times.

I am curious about what's going on with Tyrese and his gang though. Are they gonna end up fighting Team Rick or joining Team Aquarium?

I do wish they had gone into more detail explaining to Andrea exactly how screwed up the governor is. I kept waiting for Merle and Michonne to tell her about the National Guard they killed and the heads in the aquariums but, nope, they left it at he sent a guy to kill me and then beat up Glenn. Seems like they left out some very relevant information in regards to exposing his character.

Carol telling Andrea to screw the Governor was weird. Definitely more of unstable comic Carol showing through there.

Not a terribly eventful episode, but I'm glad Andrea and the group finally reunited for a bit again.

I think he was actually awake the whole time. I was expecting him to open his non stabby eye at the end of the episode while Andrea was giving the insomniacs of the town a free show.:fp:

I really hope Tyrese and the gang don't stay on the dark side.

Agreed. Also about Shane turning into a zombie and how they will all turn into zombies. Carol mentioned Rick killing Shane , but I don't recall her going into all the specific details.

I also wish Glenn or Maggie had told her about what the Governor did to Maggie.

I think it was a good plan. Better if she followed through with it. Thinking about it more now, I wonder if Carol used to fantasize about doing the same thing to her abusive ******* husband.

Yeah they could really all benefit from some communication training or something. Everyone's so stoic and hard that they don't tell each other really important stuff. But then I guess they don't need to recap a bunch of stuff cause it would be boring for the viewers. But it's dumb. The governor is worse than they let Andrea leave believing.

It would be nice if she had just killed him, but of course that wouldn't happen, it's too easy. :sigh:

I'm sad for Axel. :( They make you start to like somebody and then immediately kill them. :-\

It sucks that crazy Rich kicked out Tyrese and co. I don't care about those two guys at all, but Tyrese and his... daughter? They are cool. I liked when they intercepted the shovels to bury their dead when the two guys were plotting.

They talked about this in the Talking Dead, and gave a bit more perspective. Imagine if you were in their position, coming to the prison, being locked up by relatively rational people, all relying on their leader to come back, and when he does he's batshit insane and starts yelling at things that aren't there. I'd be pretty against him too. :P

"No, you're forgetting. It's his way of understanding the outside world and coping, and reminding himself of how awful it is and what he's fighting for. He told me that, so it must be true!"

Oh I must've missed that part of The Talking Dead. Makes sense of course.

I rarely have issues with the gore on this show , but the jaw breaking was too much. Reminded me of the scene from American History X. A scene that has been seared into my memory filed under the category of "fucked up things I've seen and wish to have unseen" forever.
