TV & Film The Walking Dead

OMFG!!!! What an episode. I thought the first one was quite slow but they really brought it back to action this week.:) I want to see that one-eyed wanker die very soon.:D

I hope Merle can redeem himself, he's an interesting character, even though he's an *** that's sorta what makes him interesting.

I actually agree with this. I never thought I'd want to see Merle join the good guys, but he gained my sympathy in the last episode. I loved the scene with him and Darryl. It'd be interesting if he not only joined Rick's group , but also sacrifices his life saving one of them. Although it's more likely that he would die saving his brother of all people.

So who exactly was watching the baby during the zombie bomb invasion by the one eyed *******? o_O

:p I think it's knowing that they have a baby there that is raising my stress levels when I watch it. I get freaked out around babies anyway and worry something will harm them even in our world without zombies!

I'm quite inclined to dislike Merle but after re-watching part of Season 1 with a friend (who had never seen it before), I'm remembering that Darryl used to act exactly like Merle's acting right now (maybe a bit more open), and look how much he's changed.

Makes sense! What's with the shitty parenting? Last season nobody ever watched Carl or knew where the hell he was and now this season the baby is going unattended.

 Merle gained some points with me when he seemed to actually show remorse for leaving Darryl behind when they were younger.

Cool episode. I was hoping Tyrese and his group would show up, but I guess lunatic Rick was scarier than the zombie horde.

I also can't help but pick apart the gun fights. The governor standing out in the open at a range which the assault rifles Rick and his gang were using would have been very difficult to miss with reinforced my belief that I could have taken Woodbury quite easily with just a couple people or defended the prison with ease...

BUT... gunfights wouldn't be as cool to watch if they were even remotely realistic, so I suppose I'll let it slide :p

I hope Glenn and Maggie make up soon. I want at least one or two members of the group to be happy and not be ****** off and delusional all the time.

Always love watching Michonne go all zombie samurai.

Shall we start placing bets on who takes out the governor? I'm gonna take a wild stab at it and say Merle.

That really bothered me - come on writers, have him at least have to duck behind something at some point. I get that he maybe does not care about his life anymore since losing Penny, but I would think the revenge factor alone would spur him to try to stay alive for a little while longer.

Andrea.

I was way too shocked about Axel to watch the prison gunfight with any criticism. Not that his character was really interesting or lovable or anything, he was pretty mediocre as far as characters go, it just scared the **** out of me when he got shot out of nowhere.

Andrea taking down the Governor sounds like a good plan.

Yeah I definitely predicted Axel's outcome incorrectly. After the little confrontation between him and Carol over Beth, I figured there was some drama coming for sure. Then BLAM, the only well aimed shot of the fight takes out who may very well be the least dangerous person on either side. Life isn't fair in the zombie apocalypse :(

Yeah I'm also totally onboard for Andrea killing the Governor. It would be the only reasonable thing she has done since the series started.

When my friend and I were watching Season 1 (second time for me, first time for him) he started FREAKING OUT when Andrea was over her dead sister. That really reminded me of this, because I haven't thought lately about how consistently crazy her character has been.

I was quite relieved as just before that happened I was saying to my husband that I can't stand to look at Axel's facial hair anymore.:D

Agreed. Aside from Michonne, this show isn't really one to do any boundary-breaking or stereotype-shattering.

Still, Andrea is almost abnormally irrational...

 I love that Michonne is such a strong female character. I was losing hope there for awhile. All the women were so whiny, pathetic, stupid, weak and annoying. Lori being the worst. Though she's still annoying as a ghost.

I loved in the Talking Dead show after last week's episode how Chris Hardwick kept harassing Robert Kirkman about how people were inevitably going to think she was a ghost.

"But now you've gone and added ghosts to the show..."
