I tend to agree but any kind of raising of awareness is a good thing IMHO. A lot of people are influenced by celebrities which I think is pretty sad... but... anything to help the cause is positive.

Yeah, I know what you mean thefadedone but I'd say I'm in the second camp. An important thing to remember is that although we've been in the veg*n mindset for a while and thus have made the connection between animal cruelties, most people have not, and so they see this as a totally different thing than we do.

Not saying it's right, or that people shouldn't go veg*n, just that yeah, every bit of activism does count and if Mr. Reedus doing this makes at least a few people reconsider the consequences of animal testing it's a good thing, even if they don't become vegetarian, which they probably won't because most people haven't really made that mental connection.

This goddamn show I swear to God!
I was looking forward to seeing this character NOT DIE!

...well, whatever, I still have Glenn.

I think the premier was pretty awesome! Lots of zombie action for those who thought it was lacking last season! And creepy and scary too!! Looking forward to seeing this season develop!! I am also reading the novel and the comic so I have lots of WD to entertain me!! :D

Yeah that did suck!
WTF was up with his gf's reaction? More importantly, she was hugging Darryl way too long. I really thought they were going to match her up with Carl this season. I really hope they don't pair her with Darryl.

I was totally suckered into believing that woman that Rick found. My first thought was "a replacement for Lori". I did not expect her to be crazy! That sucks. I think a new love interest for Rick might've been an interesting storyline. Might make him a bit more stable.

The raining zombies were cool. Poor dude (forgot his name) tries to do the right thing and put the alcohol back only for it to end up in an epic disaster and death of his friend.

This season looks action packed. The one thing I am dreading though is all the death of the animals. I have no problem with the gore and deaths of the humans, but those scenes with the animals really get to me. The beginning scene of next week's episode looks terrible. :(

I don't think they'll pair her with Darryl, that would be really weird.

I believed her too! Probably I should stop doing that with this show. All it has shown me is I wouldn't last long in the zombie apocalypse.

Grossest scene was probably the zombie hanging from its intestines by the ceiling and then when the dude (I forgot his name too, damned new characters) was pulling away at the zombie's scalp trying to stave it off. Nasty! :P
 
Hmm, I wasn't too impressed with the first episode. They could have made it more dramatic.

Yeah I've heard others say that as well. I can see how it was underwhelming, but this is only the beginning. According to the cast and writers every episode will get more and more intense starting next week.

I really like how Talking Dead analyzes the show and answers questions that spring up throughout the show. For example
Hershel's new leg.
. At the same time it really annoys me the I have to watch a separate show just to explain certain things that happen on this show. I understand that they only have an hour and can't fit everything in, but I hate missing out on things when I don't watch the Talking Dead.
 
It was good for me. Glad I read the spoilers so I knew when to hide my eyes.
 
Reading some comments online someone brought up a good point
Why didn't they tell Hershel about the pig? Hershel is a vet! Why wasn't he involved with the sick pig?

I agree, especially since they kept stressing the fact that they have been eating meat.
