I came home and made ginger cookies! :kissing_heart: My one son requested them and not a big spice fan. If it were just for me I'd have used a LOT more ginger!
I'm in Cleveland, Ohio BTW
Love Cleveland! I'm a member of the Legacy Society at the Cleveland Museum of Art--love University Circle, and Little Italy! Visit when I can, and stay at the Glidden House. Walking that area is SO cool. : ) And ginger cookies sound awesome--ginger is a good mood lifter, too. Yum!!

It's raining now and the wind is picking up. Quite a miserable gloomy day.
Really cold in Pittsburgh, 10 degrees, now! But, I spent a cozy day petsitting for a friend, hanging out with her Norwegian elkhound, Geo. Sweet boy! Very cuddly, and likes massages. Had a hot cuppa--Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice--spectacular! Good for a fasting day. Keep warm, all! Merry Almost Christmas!! : )

Yeow! That is COLD!!! Where are you, if I can ask? I'm headed out for my first (short!) walk of the day, in 16 degrees. At least it's clear, in North Pittsburgh, with a pretty waning Moon. And no wind! The snow is now mostly confined to the lawns and bushes--beautiful, sparkling in the moonlight... Maybe a white Christmas this year. : )

This is my early morning indoor temp. It's ridiculous!!

I'm in Connecticut. We turn the heat off at night. We have all electric heat and Connecticut is one of the highest for electricity rates. I think we're second highest in the country. It's absurd.

KLS52, you are a brave soul!! Do you live there by choice, or are you a native? I'm a Pittsburgher, born and fed! Changing my food works, but, I love my house and neighborhood, so here I am! My house is 66 degrees, and that's cold enough. We have natural gas, but, the bills still go up in Winter. Especially this year. I walk 2 1/2 hours a day, every day, so that 66 degrees feels like paradise when I come in! How about you? Any outdoor stuff? : )

Brrrrrr! I could not do that, lol. More power to ya. I try to save in other ways, with lights and appliances and whatnot. I have natural gas heat, which does get pricey in the winter, but I'm such a wuss with the cold. :D

It's chilly here this morning. It was in the single digits when I got up. At least the sun is out.

I guess we can just try to enjoy our hot cuppas all the more--they're even better in the cold. So is baking anything--the whole house warms up and smells good! Merry Almost Christmas, all! : )

Indeed! I'm having coffee now, and pretty soon I'll be making sugar cookies. :) Merry almost Christmas to you as well. :)

Mmmmmmmm! I can smell those sugar cookies from here... How do you make them vegan (if you do)? : )
I do. I found a really good recipe years ago that never fails. I use vegan butter in place of the dairy version and non-dairy milk (mostly almond milk) in my version.

Almond milk I like, but I need to check out the vegan butter. I've had vegan cheese, and wasn't impressed. I guess some brands are better than others... : )
