The Weather.

We've been at or near 50 degrees F the last few days which has been a nice reprieve. I'm dreading my electric bill. We used the heat a lot more during the day during the frigid spell we had. It's going to be $500+ easily especially since there's at least a week to go in this billing cycle and it's about to get cold again. 😞

It's cold! Was only in the mid 40's this morning and is still only in the 50's. I have to put the heat on cause it's cold in my apartment! The sun is shining nice and bright though.

I hate it when the fox are out there doing their screaming thing. I googled and apparently it doesn't mean anything bad. They supposedly like to hear their own voices. But it sounds God awful...like someone is being massacred. Gives me the creeps! They just made me and Stella jump a mile lol.

It is very cold this morning! It is only in the 30's and might get up to 60. We will warm up a bit then get hit by an even stronger cold front next week.

I have only seen one fox since I lived here. There used to be lots in London.

It is sunny and chilly today. Some parts of the UK have snow.

They are in my yard nightly as are the coyote. I stopped putting food out over the summer but I guess old habits die hard.

My son had a close encounter with one of the coyotes a couple of weeks ago when he was walking around 9 pm. He was freaked out for days afterward. Fortunately there was no aggression...the coyote was a bit interested in Chay and she was certainly very curious about him. But the coyote stood its ground, even as my son put Chay in the car for safety and was honking the horn to try and scare it away. It just got startled but continued to stay and stare from several feet away. Fortunately the garage door was still open so my son was able to get safely inside.

A fox was on the back fence in my garden back in London very early in the morning and it looked at my chihuahua. I scared it off, luckily. A workman I used said a fox grabbed his chihuahua in its mouth and he had to hit it with something to scare it off.

My cats never seemed scared of foxes.

We got some snow overnight, and pretty much all day, but it was really fluffy. I cleaned maybe 4 inches off my car when I left work. It's looking like more this weekend, so I'm glad I'm off

I was woken by what sounded like my driveway being plowed--but I didn't get a plow contract . Welp, got a free plow :).
Yep more snow, and 21 F. Glad I don't work, and the plow would have been too late for me, but my son does and got lucky!

No snow here yet. I made a homemade draught excluder out of an old pair of tights and some crumpled newspaper. My dog found it and ripped it to pieces thinking it was a toy.🤐

Wish I was in Kansas. 😞
Do we have any members from Kansas? Want to swap houses for a few days? Lol.
