This is what I keep wondering. I can't fathom how so much of the American public refuses to acknowledge what an awful person he is. They turn a blind eye or just shrug. It's beyond discouraging.

Exactly!! I am astounded at his comments this morning on the shootings. Obviously, he didn't write that address because it was actually filled with mostly kind words. I'm sure his arms had to be twisted into pretzels to persuade him to take this tack, because his previous racist rhetoric has done nothing but divide this country and feed his rabid racist base. He is beyond disingenuous!

To those not familiar with the topic:

Trump lambasted Hispanics as subhumans invading the USA.
One of his followers, 21-year-old Patrick Crusius, bought an assault rifle and traveled 1,000 km to El Paso, a diverse city close to the Mexican border, to find a Wal Mart where he could murder the largest possible number of Hispanic people.
The father of the baby pictured died trying to protect his wife from the deadly bullets.
The mother of the baby pictured died protecting her 2-month-old baby.
White House Staff asked the hospital staff to bring the baby, that had been discharged earlier, back to the hospital so Trump could pose with it.
Trump and Melania posed with the baby, giving a "Thumbs up" pose.

Who in his right mind could even come up with a story like that?

John McNaughton — an admittedly talented artist who unfortunately regularly wastes his time and skills rendering flattering portrayals of Trump — has released his latest painting of the president.

McNaughton has a reputation for his strangely fetishized depictions of our disastrous president, with his work often showing Trump as far more physically fit, handsome, and masculine than he is in real life. Looking at one of his paintings is like looking directly into the delusional mind of the most deranged MAGAhead.

The new painting, called “The Masterpiece,” shows Trump in an art studio preparing to unveil something that he himself has painted. The president’s “masterpiece” is only half-seen, but appears to be some kind of abstract work or perhaps an understated landscape. The fact that the president has no discernible creative abilities and lacks the patience to read his daily briefings let alone devote the hours it takes to finish a piece of art clearly didn’t deter McNaughton.

Twitter users were quick to pounce on the painting, and soon a wave of hilarious Photoshopped images flooded the website, as users raced to come up with the funniest examples of what Trump might really paint. Some focused on the president’s lack of skill, others zeroed in on his myriad personality flaws. All were brutal and far more accurate than McNaughton’s original.
