I remember the first time I saw Porcupine Tree, with him on guitar, and I was like, who the *** IS this guy because he's awesome!

Listening to this again. I am liking it quite a lot. It's not what I was expecting (in a good way), though I'm not sure what, exactly, I was expecting. He does some different things with vocals, which is an interesting change. I can hear some PT influence in there, and that's a good thing. I'm just so glad it finally came out. It's been a long time in the making.

Saw these cats back in 88 with Living Colour. The sound system was patchy during their set and for a couple of seconds at a time you could only hear the rhthym guitarist. He was not only blisteringly fast - but spot on the beat. All in all an epic show - but that little treat was sure memorable.

...and the cute girl I was making out with between bands. Ah youth.
