News 2016 U.S. Presidential election - the highs and lows

Also, I have never met anyone who has actually been on welfare, who said it was a liveable income, or easy to scam. The reality is you practically need a lawyer to get it, and it is such a pittance western-world wide that people struggle on it.

I once met an American man on it online who said that he had "soap month" and "shampoo month" which meant he could never afford to buy both because his income was so low, so he alternated each month. I guess his hair was in pretty awful shape during soap month.

I also once talked to solo mother of one boy, a very frugal, thrifty woman... she said she was dairy free but never drank tea anymore..

I suggested putting oat milk in it and she said she had no room in her budget for the addition of oat milk. It is $5 for a 500ml carton.

That is how little disposable income she had after looking after herself and her son.

I don't take the bible literally, as a rule, but I have been thinking more about the anti-Christ, lately. Not naming names. Lol.

No, I think that the Khans are the victims and have been used as pawns.

I think literally anyone who speaks on behalf of any politician's campaign is a pawn despite what letter falls behind their name. But that article is also downplaying Trump's position. Trump's actual language is that it would be a "Muslim ban", not "stricter vetting of middle eastern immigrants". And if Trump sincerely meant the latter he's in serious need of adjusting the language he uses when he's speaking. The more the man talks the deeper he buries his campaign. We can agree that in a way the Khans' are victims, but this article also attempts to whitewash Trump.

That is not what I heard him say. He stated that he was against illegal immigration.

I think that Trump should just pass and stop talking about the Khans. I wonder why his political advisors are not telling him to do so ?

Straight from the horse's mouth.

Also, Hillary Clinton's chances are skyrocketing while Trump's are plummeting--a DNC bump coupled with Trump opening his filthy sewer.

Then you haven't been paying attention (that's not a slam against you - you are after all neither a resident or a citizen of the U.S.). He has said, very clearly, and repeatedly, that he wants no Muslim to come into this country, not as an immigrant and not as a visitor. He has recently tried to modify that position by saying that he wants to ban everyone from countries "that have had a problem with terrorism" (apparently to circumvent the argument that he wants to discriminate on the basis of religion). Of course, under that test, the French and a number of other countries would also not be welcome in the U.S.

I think they have been telling him not to from the beginning. He just can't help himself. His narcissism is such that he cannot control himself for any extended period of time.

The last few days, he has been attacking the fire marshals in the various localities in which he has been holding indoor rallies, because they are limiting the number of people allowed into his rallies to the numbers that are approved for fire safety purposes.

He has temper tantrums about every single thing that doesn't go the way he wants. It's his nature.

As of yesterday, when polls starting to come out showing that Hillary is widening her lead, he has started saying that the election system is "rigged". Roger Stone, one of his confidantes, has been following up by saying that "there will be blood in the streets" if Trump doesn't win the election. (Stone, BTW, has been one of those spreading rumors that the Khans are agents of the Muslim Brotherhood.)

Reminds me of this gem of a Trump quote.... When asked who his advisors would be if he's elected.
"I'm consulting with myself, number one, because I have a good brain and I've said a lot of things." :D

The guy is an ego maniac. Advisors are largely ignored and his numbers keep going down. So he just kicked people out of a rally for having a crying baby.... What a douche!

Yeah, I was watching that. He made a really big deal about it, maximizing the embarrassment to the mother of the baby.
Nasty piece of work.

Hopefully that's one less family and their friends voting for Trump.
