TV & Film Movie Lounge

^^^I watched a stand-up comedian named Morgan Murphy the other night and she made a joke about that movie. She said whenever she watches it she just keeps thinking, "**** on the floor. You want to lose a guy? **** on the floor!"

I think that's what I'll think of whenever I think of that movie now...

Wolf Of Wall Street was pretty brilliant. But not as brilliant as people made it out to be - it was way too long & some scenes dragged on a bit. Some bloody hilarious parts though.

Dogville - I've been wanting to see this for a long time, but it's hard to find. Very different format, not at all what I was expecting. Good ending.:up:

The Bling Ring - I have no idea why I watched this in the first place. Pure garbage, don't waste your time.

Last Kind Words - So-so B horror movie.

The Croods - I love animated movies. This one was just okay, a little long. Had some cute moments.

Just saw The Lego Movie.

I don't care if you're fifty years old, or if you don't like animation, or if you usually don't give a hoot about this sort of thing. You should go watch The Lego Movie.

I want to see this soooo bad! Were there a bunch of loud obnoxious children in the theater though?

I just watched Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg. War and military movies are not my type of movies at all, especially when they are based on true stores. This was not my choice of movie and I definitely would have preferred to watch the Lego Movie. However, I will say that Lone Survivor was pretty damn impressive. It's right up there with Saving Private Ryan. The acting was superb, the action was almost non stop once it began and the special effects were incredible. It was a very difficult movie to sit through. It was emotionally draining, depressing , gut wrenching, and disgustingly yet realistically gory. I wouldn't watch it again because of all those things, but I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys military/war movies.

Dallas Buyers Club. AMAZING. McConaughey & Leto were both absolutely brilliant & I loved it.

Jason Statham usually has the villain role in films.:p I must say there is something about him that makes him the ideal 'bad' guy.

Whaaa...?

I always think of him as the action hero.

Yeah I can't think of any movies where he's the bad guy. And I won't lie to you people, I watch a lot of Jason Statham movies. I'll pretty much watch them all. He's always a hero with a 'rough streak' or some other super cliche thing. A thief with some moral code, or a murderer who won't kill children, or a bad man just looking for the right woman to show him the light... Regardless of whatever demons he's struggling with, he's generally the hero of the movie.

Cellular.:p

I dislike Jason Statham even though I have seen quite a lot of his films and liked them. One that made me laugh was Crank when he was standing at the road crossing wearing a hospital nightgown with a massive erection.:rofl:
