This is from March already ... so chances are we have had this already here - in which case I apologize!

Nevertheless, it is good, so watching it again is just the right thing to do on an otherwise boring Friday....

From 'men are disposable' to 'truth isn't truth': Giuliani's weirdest moments so far
8. "The truth isn't the truth"

On Sunday, Giuliani defended the Trump legal team's drawn-out negotiations over a possible meeting between the president and Mueller's team by saying he does not want Trump to be caught in a so-called perjury trap. But in explaining why Trump should worry about telling the truth, Giuliani questioned the existence of truth itself.

“When you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well that’s so silly because it’s somebody’s version of the truth, not the truth,” Giuliani told Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“Truth is truth,” Todd responded.

“No, no, it isn’t truth,” Giuliani said. “Truth isn’t truth. The President of the United States says, “I didn’t…"

"Truth isn’t truth?" a startled Todd asked.

"No, no, no," Giuliani said.

"This is going to become a bad meme," Todd observed.

"Safe Travels"

That is what came to my mind, unbidden... anybody remember that movie?

deliverance.jpg

It is a movie about a group of city dwellers that want to experience an adventure rafting trip in the back country.

They get more adventure than they would have wanted when they are ambushed and assaulted by a group of inbred, shotgun-toting hillbillies after they hazard upon their illegal moonshine distilling operation.
One rather silent guy from their group is forcibly sodomized by the assailants.

Of course, this being an American movie with Burt Reynolds and Join Voight as action stars (even if they were playing weakling city dwelling types) they manage to turn the tables on the oppressors, kill some of them and escape back to civilization ...
