Completely ineffectual?! He projected American power, he helped a struggling missile manufacturer, he restored the American people's pride, and he killed some Muslims in the process! Besides, his Republican allies in Congress can smile from ear to ear, secure in the knowledge that Armageddon is one step closer. And finally, the Israel lobby can also claim another win since Assad is their top bogey-man, second only to the Iranian regime, Adolf Hitler and people who think Palestinians should be afforded human rights.
