TV & Film The TV Room

F**king Torchwood.

It's such unintelligent drek. Always just pretending to be complicated, making up this stupid "adult-oriented content" just so the showrunners can be all ohhh, we're so edgy! and not actually devote any time to storytelling, and to cap it all off the budget is bad and the effects are lazy.

So, tell me again why I keep hitting "next episode"?
Yes. All of that, yes. I only liked Children of Earth. And  forever to the last season.

Children of the Earth gave me nightmares. I refuse to rewatch it. I'm watching Miracle Day now, as BBCA is just now playing it.

It's repeating tonight.

And it's on demand, apparently, so I'll probably get to it at a point when the TV's free and I don't have so much homework.

 I mean some of the characters were really great and there are definitely positive points but what is with some of the storylines? Can things possibly be any more forced?
(and I'm not to Children of Earth yet, does anything too significant happen or can I just skip to that and watch Miracle Day?)

I watched the whole thing leading up to CoE and there a few things that happen that might be confusing if you haven't seen the build-up, I guess? By watched, I mean played it in the background while I did other things because there were only 3 or 4 episodes that held any of my attention whatsoever. You do learn some interesting things about the Jack and the like, but yeah. Children of Earth is a standalone 5 episode season and it is brilliantly paced and very engaging, especially compared to the rest of the show.

That's good to know! I've already basically picked apart Jack's history to death on the Doctor Who wiki so I might just watch it.

I was given Series 1 as a birthday gift last year and thought the first few episodes were good; it just got worse from there and I haven't finished the first series even though I do have a lingering desire to find out what happens next to their team.

Not disappointed to have received it as a gift, though. I have this sort of fascination with DVD boxed sets and like the way it looks on the shelf

The pilot for The Crazy Ones and the pilot for the Michael J. Fox show aired opposite each other. I watched scenes from both. Neither one really grabbed me, although if I was forced to choose (say, stuck on a 777 without a digital device and I had to watch one or the other on the screen in front of me), I'd go with the Robin Williams thing rather than the MJF thing.

Yeah I was really disappointed with The Crazy Ones. I didn't find it funny at all. I will give it another week or two, but I'm not hopeful. I have zero interest in the MJF show. I think it's great that he is continuing to act despite his illness, but his show doesn't seem appealing to me at all.

New Undercover Boss tonight. Looks..interesting and controversial since the business they are focusing on his somewhat Hooters-ish.

This morning I watched parenthood and Michael J Fox show, I liked parenthood better then Michael J Fox show, I don't think that the Michael J Fox show will lost more then a season. I watch my shows online on the websites..

I liked the crazy ones, although I missed the last 10 minutes. I love Robin Williams, so I guess I'm a little biased.

Love, love, love Parenthood.
Watched Grey's Anatomy. Was pretty good.
Looking forward to Blue Bloods tonight and The Good Wife on Sunday.

Last Season's parenthood was intense with the love triangle between Sara, Mark and hand and the adoption of Victor and the cancer that Kristina had and other things, I was on pins and needles last year watching it. This year not sure what to expect...

Watching Master Chef Jr Edition. These kids are amazing...11-13 years old. And I like that there's no nasty comments/criticisms from the judges.

Ive just started to download Breaking Bad season 1. A bit slow or what?

Didnt want to go in the other thread in case it gets spoilt (Im sure bits will be spoilt anyway but the more I can avoid the better). Just thought I'd mention I was gonna watch it : p

I really don't know how that show lasted as long as it has.
