TV & Film The TV Room

I LOVED Stranger Things - amazing.
MORE, MORE, MORE!! I need more!!
I'm on episode 7. It's very Goonies-ish with a more serious plot but very enjoyable. I'm glad it's not about the devil or possession because I wouldn't be able to watch it, lol.

I was immediately reminded of "E.T." and "Stand By Me".... with a much darker flavor. :D

I'm going to have to start watching this show, before I end up reading spoilers all over the place.:p

Stranger Things was very good. I read that there will probably be a second series. Stranger Things season 2 all but confirmed by Netflix | News | Culture | The Independent

I was watching some of the Rio Olympics yesterday. I can't believe what happened in the cycling with all the crashes. The Italian man broke both of his collarbones.

I luckily missed the bit when the man broke his leg during the vault!

Re: the Olympics: We were watching the men's final in judo last night between the Russian federation and Kazakhstan. It was very exciting. They were very skilled, so neither managed to score any points during the regular time (5 minutes). The Russian's shirt got untucked, but then the time ran out. So then it went to Golden Time! After a minute or so, the Russian managed to trip up the Kazakh, so he scored and therefore won. I'm sure Putin was particularly pleased with that one.

I didn't even see the documentary, but I have read so much about it as I was following a discussion which gave most of the details. Shocking!

I was watching the Olympics last night. Mo Farah was tripped and he picked himself up and still managed to win.:)

Greg Rutherford got bronze in the long jump. I read a story about him last year where he found an injured deer and carried it for 2 miles to get vet treatment.

Watched more of the Doctor-Who-A-Thon at Jerry's both last night & Friday... wonder if it'll still be goin' tonight....

‘Doctor Who’: Christmas in August | BBC America

I just have to say (and Jer & I discussed this & agreed)... the Weeping Angels are probably THE best, most unique, most awesomely terrifying, super-genius horror concept ever created!!

I get the biggest spooky thrill from those episodes! Wooo, love 'em! Friggin' brilliant!!
