Happy Valentine's Day. We are about to go out to a vegan cafe for brunch. It feels quite nice and sunny today, still chilly.

so, the most snow we've had in forever - Wednesday night we had about 3-4 inches, maybe a bit more as it is hard to tell when it drifts - tomorrow and Sunday we are scheduled (by the snow gods) to get 6 inches and then 6-8 inches... thankfully we only have a balcony to clear a space to look at the stars, when they reappear - it is cold today -9C (16F) (colder with the windchill) and it is going to stay well below freezing until the end of the month so it is going to stick around - grocery shopped yesterday so all set to hunker down
I am used to this from living in Northern Ontario and then in Ottawa, however it is very unusual for Southern Ontario, and yet lots of fun too.

After the rain brought a cold front, today is much cooler. It is sunny but I don't think we got past the mid 60's.

I always look at the weather "back home" and where my siblings live and it is in the double digit below zero this morning! -18 in a few places. brrrrrrrr!!
