Literature What are you currently reading?

I usually just buy paperbacks from the thrift store and read a lot of crime drama stuff. I did get the Hunger Games for my grandson as he saw the movie and said "It was the most awesome movie EVER!" So I read it before I gave it to him and I enjoyed it but have yet to get the other two. Currently I am reading a biography of Madonna which is pretty interesting.

I was disappointed in Haunted when I read it, but looking back maybe it was good and better than I thought. I leant it to my ex though and never got it back : ( same with my copy of the wasp factory.

Oh and Im now reading Blindless by Jose something, and listening to Farenheit 451

I just finished The Left Hand of Darkness. I didn't enjoy it as much as The Dispossessed, but it was still very good. It got me in the mood for more Ursula Le Guin, so now I'm re-reading A Wizard of Earthsea for the first time since I was little.

I really like Le Guin but haven't read anything by her in a very long time. I should try to find some of her work at the thrift store! :D

I'm on the second of the Dark Tower series (yeah I'm a little late to the party), and thankful I still have many more to go. Really enjoying it.

The best series ever imo. It's a journey that you don't want to ever end, yet you're curious as to how it will end.

My favourite story was about the lipless guy. Did anyone ever try to read Palahniuks Pygmy? I couldnt finish it urgh. Always struggle with books that dont write in proper English, it annoys me.

Same here. I can't read Requiem for a Dream or Precious.

I stumbled across books 2 and 3 of Game of Thrones in a charity shop today. £2 each, and they'be at least £5 new in the shop.

I sold the Game of Thrones books for £1.50 each. I need to put my prices up!

Just finished Wolf Hall - Hilary Mantel. Starting on Eat and Run by Scott Jurek, vegan ultramarathoner. It has a recipe at the end of every chapter, which is cool, but I already know how to make mashed potatoes ya know.

I got in mail couple books on yesterday and now I'm in process to make myself wiser with my food choices with the Eat to live by MD Joel Furhman.
