Whatcha Eatin?

Violife shreds melted on a toasted bun with thin sliced seitan and pickle slices.
I tried Orrington Farms vegan ham seasoning after reading so many good reviews. It struck that nerve in my memory that said "too real"! :ignore:
Ever get that? you make things you call the animal product stuff, and then come across something too much alike, and makes you realize you really don't want it that close in taste? I ended up adding more coriander, dry mustard, onion powder. more liquid smoke. It's a real mish mash of flavors now
 
Early lunch. I found a frozen meal at Big Y…Purple Carrot Be’f Udon Bowl. I was afraid I was going to hate it but it was on sale, which almost never happens. It was good!! I might even buy it again for a quick meal.
 
Today, stuck in the next town, I took myself out for Thai red curry with tofu and veg, rice and salad.
Supper was a huge bowl of mushroom Mido soup with tofu. A small bit of bitter melon chopped in , as a taste test . I picked up one at the Indian market to try. Hope the rest of the pod going into the compost bin won't kill any of my industrious decomposer bugs.

I had two clementines and a cup of tea. I realised the supermarket delivery must have substituted my usual green tea for Genmaicha tea which is made from green tea mixed with roasted popped brown rice. It is quite nice. I prefer it to normal green tea.:)
