Whatcha Eatin?

@KLS52 @Raven Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup are evidently classic. My Mom used to make us those for lunch quite often.
Yes! And this lunch was served at school often and I hated it at the time. Now I really enjoy tomato soup and cheese sandwiches. I have finally found a vegan cheese I like.

What cheese do you like? I've been really happy with Chao original slices for grilled cheese.

I have the Follow your heart American slices. They melt really well which was an issue for me. I did try the Chao slices but I don't remember which kind. The FYH seems to melt better.
I don't think I've tried those. I will look for them next time I'm at the store.

I'm having breakfast with some of the women from my Mindset group at a local cafe so it will likely be dry toast with jam. Unless I bring my Miyoko's with me. Not sure I'm in the mood to be carting stuff this morning. I'll have to drink my tea black too. I am looking forward to meeting with them though. They are super nice women and it will be nice getting to know them better.

What is a Mindset group? I have been looking for local classes to join and there seem to be lots for people over 60, but not my age group.

Sounds wonderful.

I'm also off to a friend's where she has invited me and a few more girls from the hiking group, for the 3 kings. They will be having traditional cake and she's bought me some plant based biscuits so that I'm not left out. So, it's going to be a busy afternoon gossiping and catching up.

It's a lovely warm day and the sky is blue.

I didn't think I could explain it well so I found this:
"Mindset training is the practice of cultivating a positive and growth-oriented mindset to enhance personal and professional development. In today’s fast-paced world, the way we think can significantly influence our ability to face challenges and achieve our goals. By adopting effective mindset training techniques, we can transform our approach to obstacles, ultimately leading to improved productivity, resilience, and success."

For us...we are mostly senior citizens...we are trying to train our minds to have a positive attitude. Apparently we can retrain our brains...the pathways we have where we form our thoughts/feelings can be reprogrammed, so to speak. And it's supposed to be helpful in teaching us how to change how we react to negative/bad things that happen in life.

People with positive outlooks tend to live longer, healthier lives.

The women are just lovely and we do a lot of sharing of personal experiences.

I just checked and there is a similar group, but it is open to all ages. Quite far to go, though. I might try it once.

I had a big bowl of 🍍 fresh pineapple.

That sounds really nice. I hope you have fun.

I'm having a wine biscuit with black coffee. I may make oatmeal banana pancakes from the Dani Spies cookbook.
