News 2016 U.S. Presidential election - the highs and lows

So how do we save face if our preferred candidate loses?

I'm thinking about posting something to fb, now, in preparation, haha. Something to the effect of, vote your conscience then be ready to accept the outcome and move on. I'm a nervous wreck over how the losing side is going to react.
 
I think we accept, and hope for the best.

I think we need to hope for the best, no matter who wins. This country is so badly fractured.

From what I'm hearing about the early voting, it seems that this is the election in which Latinos feel fully invested. They will be a force with which to be reckoned from now on.
 
The party of personal responsibility will not take personal responsibility when Donald Trump loses. When Trump doesn't win, it won't be because he was a reality star with no political experience who vilified nearly every demographic, but because the election was rigged. Trump's deplorable defenders will react accordingly.

If somehow the "tangerine-tinted trashcan fire" wins, radical leftists will take to the streets. It will be four years of rebellion. The corporate media will call it chaos.

So true!:p It's the same over here with some people in the UK, blaming immigrants for everything under the sun without taking any responsibility for their own decisions.

I was watching a programme a while ago and the presenter was saying that one of the Castro twins might be president one day.

Nobody will take to the streets. Nobody wants to do that anymore. Protesting in the streets is what old people used to do when they were young. This is the era of social media and Netflix and Chill. They'll scream about Trump on the internet, basically continuing what they're already doing, and nothing else. As long as they can come up with clever memes, they think that's enough of a protest.

I thought I'd read about quite a lot of protests and riots in the US over the past year. That may have been mostly related to police shootings / violence, though.
 
I too very much doubt that anyone will take to the streets if Trump wins.

I don't know what will happen if he loses - there are a lot of extremely paranoid, conspiracy believers who support him.

And privileged young white men rioting and vandalizing when their sports team wins.

If Trump wins, most Hillary supporters will be busy figuring out how they're going to live when they retire since their 401k will be gone.

I'm worried what the Trump supporters will do if he loses. Most will be whining on Facebook, but there are some extremists that will be violent. My roommate took the dogs to the park and almost got attacked by a group of Trump supporters when they found out she supported Hillary, Yep, a group of about 10 of them were blocking and surrounding a lone female. It ended when one shoved his large dog at her, and her dog jumped on theirs and bit him to protect her. They are crazy.
