I did not lose anything... in fact GAINED less than a pound... probably just the fluctuation that happens throughout the day. Was discouraging though. I have decided I have to go back to my previous eating habits when I lost all the weight initially. I was much closer to vegan then and have to go back that way now. I have to stop buying all that frozen food and NO MORE pre-made goodies. I am an emotional eater so I simply can't have that stuff in my house.
I hear you on the goodies. I can't have certain foods in the house because I can't stop eating them, e.g., potato chips and certain vegan ice cream treats (those coconut-milk ice cream sandwiches are sooo good).
You are probably right about the fluctuation. Did you have a lot of sodium the day before? It can hide in so many foods you wouldn't think would be loaded with it.
I had a pretty good weekend food-wise and exercise-wise. I did no snacking for once. I'm trying to eat only when hungry, which is a daily struggle for me. Sometimes I eat something just because I want something tasty, like sugary treats, or something crunchy, like popcorn -- even when I'm full. It often has nothing to do with hunger. I'm trying to tell my brain to think of food like fuel and fill up only when necessary.
I did do that beach/woods hike with my sister on Sunday, and we kicked butt. We did five miles with a few hills (it was mostly flat, though) in less than two hours, including stopping for lunch for 20 minutes. I was also carrying a backpack that weighed about 12 pounds, so that was good. It was a sunny day, but it wasn't as warm as advertised. Very windy, but still a great hike.
Today, I woke up kind of late, so I didn't get in as much cardio as I would have liked -- only 20 minutes, but normally, I would have bagged it because I couldn't get in my minimum of 45. I'm trying to ditch my all-or-nothing mindset. Something is always better than nothing. I did get in all my weight-training, though, and it took a good half hour. I was pleased.
