Split pea soup

us too.... my honey made it and added frozen green beans and other mixed veggies - it was very thick and we have lots of leftovers so we will have soup for a while to come as it will need lots of water added when reheating (easier to freeze though and it takes up less space in the freezer)

I added plain croutons to my soup as well as hot sauce, garlic powder, nutritional yeast.

we had what we thought was a celebrate-while-watching-election dinner and the dinner sucked as did the election.... my honey was out and said he was bringing home pizza so he bought 2x Daiya pizzas - the pepperoni and the chkn ones - and we ate them both and felt awful afterwards - could we have a whole day do over?

the 10lb bag of sweet potatoes that I bought last week contains mostly smaller long skinny ones which are perfect for baking - so I baked 8 of them in the oven and cut 3 of them up into a bowl - I also did sausauge/beans (weiners n beans) to put on top - in the beans I put onion, jalapeno, Gusta sliced sausage - it was very delicious - I also had one for dessert and poured just a bit of maple syrup on it (they are not my honey's favourite so I have 3 leftover in the fridge, yum)

I'm going to have a post-Thanksgiving-like sandwich: a chickpea cutlet on a roll with stuffing (which I have yet to make), cranberry sauce and vegan mayo and a small salad topped with Italian dressing.

my honey made (I sous-chef-ed) mexican spiced rice and beans - celery, bell peppers, garlic, onions, jalapenos, cherry tomatoes, black beans and the rice was a basmati/jasmine combo - it was delicious
