Mildred Pierce - did you watch the original or the remake? I have definite antagonism (a love-hate relationship) towards remakes.

The remake, which is not a movie but a mini series with Kate Winslet. It follows the book much more closely than the Joan Crawford movie.
 
Finished season two of Better Call Saul... and sadly, I have to wait a stupid amount of time for three because it's "on" now. So I returned that and rented the first two seasons of Bate's Motel. Jer & I had seen the first season already, good stuff, just thought I should start from the top. Already on disc two... should be well into SEASON two tomorrow night. ;)

Fresh off the Boat is growing on me, but I don't like the two kids on Speechless. I don't know if it's their characters that are boring, or they're just terrible actors. I like the kid in the wheelchair, his caregiver and mother though.
 
So NBC changed their minds and decided to renew Timeless for a second season after all! We have to wait for 2018 and it's only for 10 episodes, but that's better than nothing. I'm stunned, shocked and delighted! I definitely never saw that coming! I really like Timeless.

I didn't like it at first, but after the first 2 seasons I started watching reruns, and ended up liking it. My dad and sister loved that show from the start. I'm not surprised it was canceled. To me it seemed like it kind of went off track around the 5th season.
 
Finished season two of Bates Motel. I'll probably be renting seasons three & four tomorrow. ;)

Helluva thing to watch on Mother's Day.... LMAO :p
 
Netflix. I just watched Season 1 (seven episodes) of Anne with an E. It's a Canadian series on Anne of Green Gables. I loved it but it was too short. I want more, now and I don't know how long it will be. They just released the seven episodes on Friday. Can't imagine there will be more anytime soon.

I was offended already in the opening sequence when my Norse ancestors, the first Europeans to discover the New World - more than 1000 years ago, were portrayed as simple and superstitious brutes! And then they had cast some Italian-looking guy as the main Norse god.

We're also watching a Norwegian series from 2015 on Netflix called Occupied, which is keeping our interest. It's based on a book by Jo Nesbø, I think.

We are watching American Gods too. Been excited about it for months! I agree, the first episode was disappointing (& overly weird) but we liked the second episode so hopefully it'll get better.
