TV & Film The TV Room

I really enjoyed this show. The actor who plays Norman is amazing and I love Norma.
Norman is played by Freddie Highmore. I knew I recognized the facial features from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Little Charlie, all grown up & doing nasty things... maybe.... :ignore: LOL Freddie Highmore - IMDb

Watched the first three episodes (disc one) of season three tonight. Tomorrow starts disc two....

My half-off status at the video place expires on the 20th... this was a good call.

I may very well be starting season four of Bates Motel tonight... think I have 2 or 3 episodes left of season three to go. I know what's coming. I didn't go looking, but c'mon, it's Norman Bates! We know what happens! LOL :p

This is a very good, well-acted, freakin' twisted series... I'm really enjoying it. What I can't stand is that anytime an animal appears, I have to ready my thumb on the fast-forward button. I can't watch. Not the live ones ('cuz I know something horrible will happen), not the dead ones Norman's working on in his basement (or hanging off whats-his-nuts' coat).... I know it's an important part of the story, and I know all about how this kind of stuff is done/faked... still.... :sniff:

I don't want to miss any dialog, so now when an animal (in whatever condition) appears on screen, I just look away & listen.
It's weird, I can watch human characters meet all sorts of grisly, gruesome fates, but no dice on the beasties... even CGI. :dismay:

Since I've blown through what's available (for rental) for Better Call Saul and Bates Motel already, I started on House of Cards.

I should be finished with season one tomorrow.

I am reeeally enjoying House of Cards. The Underwoods are two deliciously ruthless characters... wow!

Oh, and this isn't a spoiler, really... I never thought about this until they showed Frank's cuff links with his initials: F U

Well, I was a little upset about my last trip to the video store... someone else had rented season 4 of HOC. :brood: I was forced to rent movies! LOL

The gal told me House of Cards wasn't due back until the 16th, but I decided to call & ask just now.... it's back!! :D

I guess someone else is binging on this show like I am.... :p

So, yay, more House of Cards tonight!!

It's looks like I'm S.O.L. for a while, regarding TV series to rent... at least until the DVD release of Better Call Saul (season 3), Bates Motel (final season), or House of Cards (season 5, on Netflix now).... :pout:

any Twin Peaks fans? I keep meaning to watch it but never do
How about Gotham? I loved the first season, and halfway through the second, then I stopped watching it

I watched the rest of the latest series of Supernatural yesterday. I thought it was one of the best series they have ever done.:)

We're watching a lot of Monkey Life recently. It's a series about the Monkey World park in Dorset, which is caring for many different monkey species. It's suitable for the whole family. Recommended.

Last night we watched an episode of Father Ted that I hadn't come across before. I think it was called New Jack City ...
Father Jack mysteriously grew long hair and finger nails like claws on his hands, so he had to be sent off to a special home. A new priest then took his place in the house in Cragg Island. The new priest was a thoroughly nasty piece of work. Father Ted and Father Dougal managed in the end to get rid of him by ... Well, it was a bit unclear, but they brought Father Jack back, and the newcomer caught the hairy hands disease, so was sent to the home.
It was an episode that was a little bit different!

I just watched a show that was on last night called How to Retire at 40. How to Retire at 40 was more a flawed guide to bagging bargains than retiring early - review

They had one woman on there who set up a company selling her nut butters and she made £3 million last year!

They had another guy who sold raw potatoes with a message written on in marker pen and a few decorations put on there as well. He would box them up and charge £3.99 per potato and send them out to people. I was laughing when I heard him say it thinking what type of idiot would pay £3.99 for a raw potato?!

He said he made about £27,000 last year selling the potatoes to people.:wtf:

Indeed. Why bother to order one from a seller ? You could easily do it yourself. As he states, only an idiot would buy a raw potato.
