TV & Film The TV Room

I'm watching all ten seasons of Friends on Netflix. I'm laughing so much I'm crying. Can't believe how funny this show is.

Binge watching Fargo (the series.)
Same! Years after it aired ... I just remembered it seemed pretty good, but we only watched the two first episodes before Jen lost interest, I think it was too gory for her or something. I have a couple of days to myself now, so thought I should try to catch up :) Or at least try to finish the first season.

I was so anti-Friends when it was on. Then my ex & I ended up watching every episode (more than once) in syndication.... two episodes on basic TV every weeknight at 3AM. The one that sticks in my mind the most is the one with Ross & the leather pants.... Physical comedy gold. LMAO

The leather pants was funny but my favorite was when Ross was trying to get the new couch up the stairs...PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVOT!! I ended up watching the bloopers after that and they were hysterical. Oh yeah, and when Ross was playing the bagpipes and Phoebe was "singing" along. Rachel could barely contain herself.

Matt LeBlanc reveals why Joey had his arm in a sling on those "Friends" episodes

At first I liked Chandler, then Ross and then I always thought Joey was hilarious towards the end and I think of him saying "I'm sorry" to Ross with air quotes.

Let us know what you think as you keep going. Personally I think it went way downhill after Season 2 and I ended up giving up on it halfway through the sixth season.

Game of Thrones update ... we're now in the middle of season 5, and still like it a lot.

Anyway, I personally am DOOMED to continue, regardless of whether my wife continues to like it, as I had been reading the books a lifetime ago and it seems that I now have to follow the series if I want to find out how it goes on, as there is not much activity on the books side by George R.R. Martin.

Okay, so I'm on season 2 of Fargo, and I must say it's really outstanding! It's better than the first season, which was also good, but the main bad guy character was a bit, well a lot, hard to imagine as a real person in the real world. If you know what I mean. Anyway, you can watch season 2 without watching season 1, or at least I haven't noticed much you really need to know from season 1 yet.

So folks, this is quality TV material here, better get your Netflixes and Hulus and whatnot tuned in and start watching before it's removed, as it's been on there for a couple of years already.

Game of Thrones update ... season 7 is complete, now the long wait for the final season 8 begins.

Season 7 was both good and bad, good, as a lot of cool things happened, bad, as credibility suffered further.

WTF???? "The Simpsons" on air for 27 years??? Maybe it's time for me now to have a look :D

I recently started watching "Futurama" with my kids, they like the series a lot so far (and I also fondly do remember it) ...

Futurama is incredible.

Kind of all over the place in terms of quality, and some of the jokes have not aged well, but it doesn't have the same malevolence I feel a lot of other "adult" cartoons have, and I can't think of a single episode that doesn't have at least one incredibly funny thing in it.

And the characters are unforgettable.
