TV & Film The TV Room

Well The Defenders was awesome & over far too quickly, so we're on to Fargo season 2 now on Indian Summers recommendation. So far, so good. :)

Reactions: Second Summer
I couldn't settle on any movies to rent on Friday night, so I went back to the TV series section.... I figured it's been long enough, so I started on Breaking Bad again. Returning season one, renting season two in a few.... :)

I’m VERY slowly catching up on TV episodes I missed because of my damned accident and hip surgery. I just watched the last three season three episodes of Madam Secretary so I could be ready for tonight’s season four premiere. Next: The last three episodes of season two of Supergirl; Season three is premiering tomorrow night. It will be airing opposite Lucifer (which I’m already caught up on), but I can catch up on one or the other via streaming later, and having to watch only one episode of either would be nice.

And after dinner tonight, I’ll be streaming the new episode of Outlander and I’m really looking forward to it. I don’t have access to the premium movie channels right now except on my iPhone.

Well, I rented the first two discs of House of Cards, the latest season.... they're still very new releases, so at three bucks a pop for a one-night rental, I think I'm going to go back & revisit the full TV seasons and start on American Horror Story again.

I've already seen all of Murder House, Asylum, and Coven (first run)... a few episodes of Freak Show (the awkward, non-period musical numbers were torture for me, so I quit), just a couple episodes of Hotel (meh), missed Roanoke completely, haven't seen any of Cult....

So I thought this would be some cheap entertainment, just in time for Halloween.... I'll start from the very first & work my way through. ;)

There are new episodes of Modern Life Is Good-ish with Dave Gorman, starting tomorrow night! Jen and myself can attest to its high quality humour.

I am enjoying the new Star Trek series.:)

It's really good!

If you like Star Trek, you might want to check out The Orville. It’s from Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, and it was heavily inspired by Star Trek. I’m really liking it because it reminds me a lot of the original Star Trek.

So is that like a mix of Star Trek and Family Guy then? That sounds a bit weird :p

Oh, I hadn't heard of it. I might watch an episode. That reminds me I read about Seth MacFarlane and how he made comments about Weinstein and Spacey years ago.Seth MacFarlane Attacked Hollywood’s Alleged Abusers For Years — Watch | IndieWire

Absolutely LOVED The Punisher.

Now we're on to Dark - only one episode in so far but am very intrigued. Hoping it will be good.

I'm also watching Alias Grace which I'm currently obsessed with.

Season finale of Mr. Robot... Mind blown, as usual. The only show I've ever watched where nearly every single episode can potentially leave you picking your jaw up off the floor. It doesn't have to be a season finale or premiere, pedal to the metal they relentlessly hit you hard every episode :D It's pretty amazing, and I can't help but be totally baffled as to why more people aren't watching and talking about this show.
