Whole grain rice, tofu & vegetable pilaf (spinach, shallots, mushrooms, red peppers)
served with a sprinkle of yeast flakes/Nurishh parmesan style/spinkle of garlic/smoked chip. flakes

I had a vegan bacon sandwich when I got in as I only had fruit for breakfast.
it was more of an ice crystal/snow storm and wasn't as bad as predicted - made a mess of the roads etc but no power loss etc
today is going to be an oatmeal/berry/banana day

And just when did I quit liking peas? I haven't used them in a very long time. I did last have some in some kind of entree where they were like dried out a bit. and the texture really turned me off. I need some good ones cause I used to like peas
Ocho vegan caramels...the ones made with Miyoko's butter. My daughter surpassed me by ordering them for me. They were delivered today, classic and coffee flavored. Holy, holy, holy, they are the most amazing thing I've ever tasted. The caramel is soft, not too chewy which I like. Kind of like how I remember Rollos tasting. I'll take a real Live Photo tomorrow and post what they look like.

It does say coconut sugar (as well a cane sugar) and miyokos butter has coconut oil, but I did not taste coconut. I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to the taste of coconut. I have had the cocomel caramels and they definitely taste coconutty.
I think I might even like the coffee flavor better than the classic.
I had to hide them in my underwear drawer because I let son taste them and he thought they were great.

I keep a box on my bureau with my vegan snacks. He knows he can go in there if he's desperate because I will keep stuff in there that I don't mind sharing. Usually it's chips/crisps or my earth balance cheesy puffs.
If I'm particularly fond of something, like these chocolates, or something that's really expensive, I will put them in one of the drawers because I know they are safe there. Husband and son almost always have their own stuff in the pantry closet so sometimes I want my own stuff just for me. They finish things off in 2 days where I can make mine last awhile (shocking I know lol). So that's why I sometimes stash special treats in a safe place. That way I know it will be there when I want it.
If either of them are desperate for something they will ask me if I have anything hiding. Depending on my mood and if I feel like sharing, I will give them some of my special treats.

Just got back from town (another medical appointment) and had a very late lunch; leftover
cream of winter soup with a sprinkle of yeast flakes.
Artisan style baguette & spread.
Apple puree with soya yogurt/sweetener.

cold and sunny today, seems like a perfect day for noodley soy curl veggie soup, oh and it's Friday, oh and I haven't had it since Wednesday lol

I was so hungry when I got in and I had a vegan cheese pastie and chips.
