Whatcha Eatin?

Whoever said, "man does not live by bread alone", lied. 😂

I could if I had to....

today I am having my leftover steel cut oats/red lentils mix from Saturday and will put in all the extra usual suspects and maybe even a few more rolled oats - lots of berries and a banana for sure

Those of you eating overnight or soaked oats...do you warm them up before eating or eat them cold/room temp?

I do like refrigerated overnight oats and mostly have them cold during the warmer months.

I actually put the bowl of oats plus liquid into the freezer. I only needed 30 minutes and they were compltley soaked and chilled. I simply added some dried fruit, chia seeds and a huge dollop of coconut/soya yogurt. I find that BM tastes better than porridge and I also didn't get those pesky hunger pangs.

Just back from the local tip so had some leftover sauteed Planted pea protein strips/carrots/peppers and last night's spinach with
an extra drizzle of Teriyaki sauce.

Oatmeal doesn't hold me over very long either. But I cant seem to eat it with many additives. I'm always amazed at how hearty @Emma JC makes her oatmeal. I should keep trying different things. Occasionally, I might add a tablespoon of peanut butter or maybe some chopped nuts but I don't really like much else in it for some reason. Other than my cream and sugar of course lol. And I can't seem to eat a full serving in one sitting, so of course it doesn't hold me over when I only eat half. I usually add a slice of toast and drink half a protein shake with it.

it is just about time for my noodley soup - still have some fresh kale and mushrooms, so those will be going in, along with the 'frozen' veggies and soy curls and the base of miso/gochujang, yum edit; I have a red cabbage so I just chopped it up (now purple fingers) and put some in my soup and the rest in the freezer

@KLS52 - yes, I just use the oatmeal as the medium to eat all the things I really like and I find that lots of water is one of the keys to it as it soaks up the peanut butter powder, the ground flax and the soy curl crumbs - the bit of protein from the soy curls is what I think sticks it to my ribs and the bit of salt I add also helps to keep me from craving more savoury snacks, like chips, by late afternoon - I just counted up on my fingers and I think there are 15 ingredients altogether in my weekday oatmeal and around 10 in my Saturday steel cut oats

I cook like 1/3 cup rolled oats, then add 1Tbs each ground flax and wheat germ, and berries. I've always been full from 9 to 12. I add just enough water to cook it in
