TV & Film The TV Room

Watching Extant. It is kind of cool and creepy. I am watching it on the CBS web site. Halle Berry is awesome in it.

Just watched the series finale of Drop Dead Diva. Sad to see it end, but very happy with the ending.

After seeing it heavily promoted, I decided to watch the pilot for "Outlander" on Starz. It's a little slow, but I'm always interested in time travel as a premise, so it intrigued me. I think I'll keep watching, for now.

The Great British Bake Off : Biscuits, Puddings, Bread.
Jen is also watching the bake off ... I hope she'll get inspired :)

In other news we finished watching the most recent (and final?) season of The Killing. I have to say the ending was somewhat disappointing. Overall, I thought this season was alright, all things considered.

I watched 3 episodes of Season 1 and really felt inspired by the bakes that some of the contestants ' bakes. I was very impressed by some of the breads and puddings.

Just watched the first episode of the British drama series Luther from 2010 on Netflix. Seemed a bit boring at first until they introduced the villain. Wow! I know I'll be watching this again!

Watched the pilot episode of Gotham tonight (which I recorded on Monday). The acting is routine, the dialogue is a little stiff and stilted, but I liked the set and production design. :p Plus the Penguin origin story is looking interesting, so I think I'll continue watching for that. :p

We finished the first season of Luther. It was okay, but it didn't stay as interesting as in the first episode. Not sure we'll be watching any more of it. I wish the next season of The Americans would start soon.

Oh, by the way, thanks to the huge audience that tuned in to NBC's live reboot of The Sound of Music last year, they've gone ahead with plans for a follow up: Peter Pan Live, with Allison Williams, one of the stars of Girls, in the title role. The special will air on Thursday, December 4, 2014.

My fav shows from that list:

Resurrection
Good Wife
DWTS
Chicago Fire
Grey's Anatomy
Parenthood
Blue Bloods
